Yeah, that's Patrice Cort. His legs didn't actually get run over, but he did get a separated/sprained shoulder. Other than that, he's okay and is hoping to race in July.

Looks like a crash at T1 (three riders) that coincided with another crash at T1a (one rider)...?

My goal for that start was to let everybody go. I saw riders tumbling as I came into the turn, and decided my strategy had been sound for once. I'm grateful no one was seriously injured. No more of that shit!

The guy in 1a managed to crash all by himself, with no help from the chinese fire drill that was happening in T1.

Thanks for posting this up Pete ... I don't have an account on the Book of Faces, so I couldn't see it on Gino's page. Its a shame the video editing cut off the bottom portion of the video ... you can't see the wheel of Brett's bike turn to the right as it hit the ground which cause the bike to launch away from Gino at the last second. Guardian angel was watching over him in that race....

Re: 2015 Loudon Classic MWGP turn 1 crash(es)

Watching it from T1, once I saw the first bike go down in the middle of the pack, I knew it was going to be ugly. It felt like I was half way there and bikes were still falling.

Glad everyone walked away from it.

Noel, I think your buddy was the one that tried picking his bike up and I told him to relax. He said he had the wind knocked out of him.

Looks like 2 riders collided in 1A, but only one fell. So yeah, two separate crashes!

It is appalling to me that you folks take such wonderful care of us racers, yet we don't know you, or have a way to show our gratitude. I'd like to change that.

Re: 2015 Loudon Classic MWGP turn 1 crash(es)

Patrice (617) goes down, I (331) had to think extremely quickly on where to go and chose his legs being the best chance of minimizing damage/injuries. not exactly sure why Tony (717) goes down. Brian (101) checked up hitting his brakes and got hit from behind knocking him down. you can see my bike flips and hits Phil's (200) and grazes Gino's (249) shoulder. You can't see Tim Barrows hit me in the head as he goes by. Everyone is relatively ok. No one is mad just glad no one got seriously injured. you don't see Gary Pavlak bail in an attempt to push his bike away from someone's head. probably mine.
up ahead Dan Zimmer bumps Chris Bouchard (325) and goes down. I'm assuming he must have bumped his brake lever.

Thanks for the kind words. I don't do a great job of introducing myself when hanging around after the races either, so no worries. I don't do it for the kudos, but mostly because I enjoy watching the racing. Since I can't be out there myself at this point (some day), at least I've got one of the best seats in the house to watch from.

Yeah, that's me, and yeah I talked to you first. When I was done checking on you, I went over and checked one of the other guys standing in the middle there. The ambulances were already on the way at that point too.

Possibly... but when two bikes come together as hard as they did, I'm not sure whether or not he his the brake lever makes much of a difference.

Who the hell is Baby Jesus? Brett? I'm not sure I'd like the association.
