Ummm they are knock off's just like any other supplier on Ebay....... nothing special
i disagree, the quality of the aluminum is whats important here. a lot of the chinese cheap stuff is like pot metal and bends/breaks/distorts if you call its mom names.
i bought some chinese bar end mirrors and the mounts were a joke. i made my own at work out of extruded aluminum.

my bubble is not burst since we both seem to be agreeing. i was just pointing out that even if mikes stuff is chinese knock off, its made from good material and therefore not some ebay crap shoot.

I bought a set from "Rideitforever". I'm sure they are rebranded something or other. But they appear to be good quality for the price.

My statement was not directed at 434. I've seen other levers sold that look like replicas of the big name lever but the company make it seem like it's something they've developed. I'm sure there are eBay levers that are rebranded and resold out there.

I only have experience crg folding levers and think they're okay.

Hey all! I don't get to this site often but someone mentioned this thread to me so I thought I would chime in.

I will be the first one to tell you that my lever parts are made overseas but under my supervision. I am able to dictate quality standards as well as materials (6061-t6) with the manufacturer or I wouldn't be risking my rep or my life doing this. These are the same levers I have been personally running for 6 years now on the track and have never once had a failure in all of the levers that I have sold.

The parts are hand assembled by me into their finished product to ensure quality control (another failing of overseas labor). Each lever set is made to order so you can get whatever color combination you want, or can get levers for mismatched parts (like an SV with an R6 master cylinder).

Just wanted to clear up any potential misunderstandings so I hope that this clarifies things. If anyone has questions (since I rarely get over here) you can email me directly at michael@434racer.com or if you are a Loudon rider, just stop at the Pirelli/RSP Racing garage and look for #29.

I have personally crash tested a pair and they held up very well.

Just got my Red/black shorty set from mike. Got them mounted up yesterday. Red is almost a perfect match to the honda red and the levers look and feel great.

Just mounted a set from 434, and can't find anything to complain about. Look good, feel good, fit good. I was surprised how quick they were put in the mail too.

Just put in an order for some shorties for my 1199...Hoping the 1098/1198 ones fit.

...I've never really liked full-length levers but am even more wary of them recently....

About a month ago some poor guy went home from the track down a digit from a simple lowside.....

Re: Current hotness for inexpensive CNC levers?

I've run three different types of Chinese levers, a no-name off of eBay on my SV that the anodization came off with the rubbing of my gloves. One set on the previous CBR1000RR from Ride It Forever, which held up well. The other few sets (present and spare sets for Aprilia and set I sold w/ the SV) were from Michael (434 racer) and these have been the best of the bunch. Priced better and the quality is better. The pivot points are machined better and there isn't any slop in them.

Both sets are identical and work great. Adjusters are smoth and helps my wife get a proper ergo for leavers...

I like them cause its a 2 finger grab and with the short grips on the grom its mint........leaver clears the fingers nice

They look great new. Give it a couple years and some sun.
The finish faded quite a bit on my set of Chinese levers.
Of course, they still work fine, just ain't as purty.

Depends on the materials. I've left my bike outside in the sun every other day at work for the last few years and Mike's levers haven't faded yet.
