Repairing guages

Well I have my EX500 pretty much back together after my crash. All I need is a clutch lever, a brake lever, and to fix my guages.

As you can see in the pics, two of the three mounting tabs broke off when I crashed. I was thining of taking out the guages and epoxying the tabs back on. Do you think expoxy will provide enough of a hold. I was also thinking of zip-tying the guages as an added mesure. Any particluar brand epoxy better then others?

Sh**... I had the stuff you need. Don't know if I have any left... Its more aerospace grade sh** I get from work. I've used it on items JUST like that. If I have some left I'd be more than happy to give it to you...

I just thought of using PVC cement. The plastic looks like it would work well with that type of glue.

I just have mine zip tied on.

If you glue it, it'll just break again. Just ziptie it and have a beer.

I have two brandy new clutch and brake levers I bought as spares for the EX. You are welcome to them this weekend if you need them (you taking Penguin?). I'll be there Friday night so it may be a little late for ya.

I have some really large zip ties. I think I'll glue the tabs back on just so water doesn't get in there.

Clayton, I appeciate the offer for the levers but my brother's forks are still at Derek's so I think we're going to do penguin the next month. I was just gonna buy these from ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...2413637&rd=1,1
