Spark Plug question


I am looking to locate the spark plugs on my bike and to see if they need to be replaced. I do not know when the last time they were replaced was. CAn anyone tell me the location of them on a 01/ Gixxer 600, and also what type p of spark plug to repalce them with? Thanks in advance

Hey, this is my copy of the GSXR service manual. Keep in mind that it's a 2006 but it might help you out.

Spark Plug question


also, if you're checking plug gap make sure to use a wire type feeler... not the blade type... thems can damage the plug.

i'd skip the gap check altogether... haven't checked plugs in over 10 years, had 6 bikes and they all ran/run great.

you really crack me up

pull the fairing off and look for the 4 black wires about the size of a fat pen leading to the top of your motor. thats where they will be, hidden in the motor.

as for type and gap use a multi electrode plug and it will come gapped

Dude do you want to come up here some weekend and we can go through what you want to on your bike? I can give you a few hours on a Saturday or Sunday and then if it all checks out we can go for a ride.

As for the plugs. Drop the fairings and the should be at the front of the motor in a nice little line going across.
