For street riding, a 520 kit is a waste of money and increases the odds of an early chain failure.

If you are racing the bike and are concerned about a few tenths of a second per lap, then go with the 520.

I won't buy another RK chain. They stretch. They suck.

DID. Bomb-proof.

Don't trust a clip-on even if it's safety wired or siliconed?

I'm in the market for a chain as well... I want wunna dose gold plated pimp chains

On the cheap end of the spectrum, Regina has a 525 O-ring chain w/ gold side plates for 82 bucks on KneeDraggers.com but i'm uncertain if it even comes w/ a master link or not... doesn't say.

I was also lookin at a DID Premium x-ring chain on Cycle Gear for about 136.

Get the 530 and be a big stuff! I've got almost 25K on the factory 50(530)ZVM2 and it is still going strong even with multiple dragway passes.

No, he's with me

And it's not cuz i'm cheap, it's cuz i'm practical. Tell me why I should spend that amount of money on a chain & maybe I will.

The mileage you get out of it and the lack of downtime replacing the damn things. With proper maintainence, no reason why you can't get over 30k miles out of the chain and sprocket set.

And the gold side plates on my chain are still gold even after several years and thousands of miles of use.
