Dynamic Balancing .... anyone tried it ?


Just curious if anyone has had good luck with it in/on a bike? I have used it with offroad tire with great sucess. Thanks for the input!

I tried it once, but lost my balance, fell and got hurt! To afraid to do it again!

I'm not sure what you mean. On a car, a computerized dynamic balancer allows you to balance a tire/wheel - (and if using an on the car system, rotor/drum) both inside and outside of the wheel. I don't know for sure, but I doubt that a motorcycle wheel would fit on one of these systems without some expensive adaptors. I have never seen a dynamic balancer for motorcyles...which doesn't mean there isn't one...but given how narrow motorcycle tires are relatice to car tires, i doubt there is much advantage over a well done static balance.

...my opinion...not to be confused with fact...

The motorcycle wheel balancer at the local shop differentiates between the left and right side of the rim when advising on where to put weight if you set the rim dimensions correctly.
