Thanks Derek

For putting on my new tires! What a late night for you & me...

Those Avon 55/56's were great again, I was ripping threw the twisties after about 25 miles on them. Not a problem with slippage at all. My chicken stripes are at 3/4" as of the first day!

I really think my Son (Kevin) has a problem with his Michelin's they are way too slick!

Either pay the outage fee or stick them under your pillow.

I still haven't put a single mile on my new Avons. No time before I had to travel again. And I even have new oil inside as well.

Oh well, she'll be there when I get back in a week or so.

Tell him to quit riding like a pansy and the tires will be fine.

You need to feel those tires like I did, they feel like they still have the mold release on them. They have about 2,300 miles on them when I ran my hand across them, they just feel slick.

I have ridden his bike, but not in the twisties, only in some gentle curves. I didn't feel any slippage in those corners, so! Maybe he is ridding like a pansy, or maybe he is afraid of low siding again.

2300 miles? That stuff should be gone after like 3 corners

You know where we can test it. I hoping it clears up so I can out and about on Saturday.

That's what I thought too! This is a leftover 07 I think the tires either dried up or the mold release got embedded through out the tire, you can feel the difference between his tire & mine.

The forcast is: rain for today till Sunday.

Since Tuesday & Wednesday I have put about 350 miles on my new Avon Storms, I feel totally confident that they will take me through a corner with out failing me.

James, you/me/Kevin need to ride soon!

Im still not quite sure what the big deal was. Everyone after me had a little warning when they saw me hit it all first. The way I see it everyone should be happy. I taught them some bike control

If I remember I was in the middle of the pack so I didnt have a clear view of you when you experienced your rear chatter so I had no warning. It was def a learning experience for me.

There is a place in Lisbon that will do it. 85 dollars on bike. Not sure for tires off. I ended up going to Woody's in Topsham they did it for $66, but you have to buy the tires there.

Xtreme motorsports in Lisbon though.

$85 isnt that bad if they have to take the wheels off the bike, considering the extra labor.

Derek charges $20 per tire off the bike + $7 disposal fee if you don't feel like hauling your old tires away. So, that's $54 with wheels off the bike.

But, in the case of Derek, you get some awesome conversation and possibly a beer.

Re: Thanks Derek

Yea, $85 is a bit steep. When I talked to Woody's they said they don't mount tires not purchased there. I droped the bike off paid 66 for install on the bike. Cheap as I could find. Need to get a front stand so I can just bring the tires in. Would be more crap to move in 3-4 months when I move to Mississippi so I just had them do it. I think xtreem wanted 30ish a tire if you take them off. Would have to call to be sure.

Well I'm picking up a set of stands for all the stuff I'm doing to mine when I get home. You're more than welcome to use them too.
