R6 fairing Q.

can anyone who has an 03-05 R6/06-08 R6S post up some pics/tutorial on how to remove the middle fairing from the bike? i was trying to get it off to install my frame sliders but it seemed to be stuck on something that i couldnt figure out. i thought it was just rubber grommet matings, but i was pulling pretty hard and didnt want to do anything bad. the front wheel well area was providing some heavy resistance, but i had all the screws out. input is appreciated!

there are some snaps that go to some plastic cowelings on the inside of the front wheel well...and you are correct that there is a rubber grommet type piece on the top arm of the middle fairing as well, with that you can just pull it out with a little gentle force.

from what i remember they are pushpins. Just push the middle in and they pop out....kind of like the ones on the undertail. There should be 2 of them on the inside of the faring(near the tire)

Re: R6 fairing Q.

I actually just took my mid. fairing off and replaced it with one that's not scratched to all hell. MVOUS is right about the push pin. just grab hold of the sonofabitch and pull.
