Oil Prices in VT

Just wanted to start a thread to find the best price on Motorcycle Oil in the greater Chittenden County Area. Partly because I need to change my soon and want to get the best deal.

Usually, I use Spectro Semi-Synth 10w40. Roadside has it for $7.95 a qt and Land/Air has it for $8.95 a qt. I have also bought the Suzuki Conventional 10w40 from Land/Air at $4.95 a qt (I think).

I am NOT looking for Oil advice or reviews, only the prices so that we can all benefit from lower prices.

Like I said, not trying to make this another oil thread, just looking for best price. No lengthy reviews/opinions.

Whitty remarks are welcome though.

I usually find a special at Autozone or Advance Auto and stock up on Mobil 1 or whatever other synth is on sale.

Looks like you can grab 5 quarts of Mobil 1 at Autozone right now for $26. And they'll toss in a filter too.

Unless you need... "motorcycle oil"

I wasn't advocating any kind of oil, just saying AAP has a good selection and reasonable prices. I usually stick with the synthetic Rotella 15w-40 (or is it 15w-50?)

Advance was running a special on Mobil 1...$25 for a filter and 5 quarts. I thought that was a great deal. Not sure if it is still running though.

Syntec is not technically a full synthetic.

Guess I never checked the ingredients. It says "Full Synthetic" on the label and it's not "Energy Conserving" so wet clutch motorcycle safe. Got another suggestion for the same price?

I was thinkin' that but maybe I'll need to compare ingredients to make sure it's "Full Synthetic" since I've been taken.

Bike was a bit low.

How is oil more expensive than gasoline? Isn't gasoline harder to make?

Basic economics. Imagine what the price of gas would be if you only used 4-5 quarts every 3,000 miles?

Drain your oil, filter through a stack of coffee filters, put back in bike. Top off with cooking oil from the kitchen, cold pressed extra virgin olive oil for Ducati owners.

I like to throw in a little garlic just for flavor.

Along with economics there is a lot more R+D that goes into oil, along with all the SAE and API certifications, etc.
