I was assuming a good blue group pace 1:23 and faster. Until you get there, just ride them until the wear bars poke up. You won't see any loss in traction.

go with what paul just said. when i first started racing my SV i could get a season out of a set. until you are going sub 23 repeatedly, don't worry about it.

I am 'slow' and after two track days on the CORSA IIIs I saw the line between the harder and softer compounds becoming very discernable. Maybe This is because I stand the bike up more than necessary before getting on the gas really hard though.

Otherwise... the corsa IIIs were great tires for me. Very good stick. I'm thinking I should get 5 track days out of them.... and then get some decent street mileage out of the center area after the TDs have toasted the edges. Might as well try to get the most for my money

i run my dunlop race takeoffs on the street....never had a problem really. but i also typically ride like a sally, or ride 2 up.

they're a bit cheaper (free, basically) than buying new street tires. haha

Re: How long will my Dragon Supercorsa Pros last?

As explained to me by Pirelli... the Corsa III's are the way to go if you ride mainly street, with a few trackdays.

The Dragon Supercorsa Pro is for hardcore street riding and trackdays.

The Diablo Supercorsa is really for racing, but it is street legal.

I think most people on here using Pirellis should go with the Corsa III's or the Dragon Supercorsa's. The Diablos are overkill, in my opinion.

Buy PIRELLI Tires!

You're not seeing significant degradation in grip? Or you don't care?

I think the fact that I swap rubber after 3 to 4 trackdays is another reason I've never had a trackday "incident".
Little bit of column A, little bit of column B. and a little bit of column C, too... I've found that I'm simply pretty easy on tires.

I had a set of Supercorsas installed on my ZX when we were at VIR, spring of '06. I got about 5k miles out of em, including a bunch of track days that year & the following year, but not many street miles... The rear finally let go fall of '07 after roughly 6-7k miles of abuse. There wasn't much tread left, but they held well.

The tires on my race bike (Also Supercorsa Pro's) are the same tires I had on there when I bought the bike in 2006 & they already had about a seasons worth of racing on em from the previous owner (Runing 1:35-1:40's). I've been doing 1:25's - 1:30's on them since. Granted the rear is like a triangle now... pretty flat where I get on the gas, but they still hold great. (as long as I don't clip the curb by the beach )

I've now got a set of Supercorsa's on the Tuono... race take-off's that I got from Saxman. I've put 3 track days on them (one rain day) and about 2k street miles so far... but I can tell you right now these (at least the rear) won't last as long as the others

Oh and I hardly ever use tire warmers except for when I'm racing.
