BUBBLES ON DIPSTICK

Yes my Buell has a dipstick. I have recently changed to 20w50 motorcycle/atv grade Royal Purple synthetic oil. (maybe 1500MI ago) I noticed it sounding noisier than normal and decided to check the oil asuming it was a little low (common). The oil level was where it should be but I notice bubbles on the edges of the dipstick. It was not foamy but enough to draw a concern.

Does anyone think that the oil may have broken down already? It is air cooled and i rode the hell out of it during our almost 100 degree weekend a couple of weeks ago. Something just isnt right.

Has anyone else had this type of trouble with Royal Purple?

Thanks!

Re: BUBBLES ON DIPSTICK

My XB12SS had the exact same problem w/ the Royal Purple, changed back to Mobil 1 V-Twin and problem solved. Dont know if it was the oil, but if not, it was quite the coincidence.

Maybe a quick call to the manufacture who made the oil?
