I have actually found that Walmart has a pretty descent selection and fairly good prices. I have also found that Napa and such have motorcycle batteries, but it's hit or miss with them.

Re: MOTORCYCLE BATTERY

It's a YTZ10S, for the record. 2 of my 3 battery references showed no part number info for it.

Re: MOTORCYCLE BATTERY

I have gotten Yuasa batteries which are OEM and have
gotten an italian knockoff from EBay for about 1/2 the price, I can't tell the
difference.

Sears sells relabeled Yuasas as Die Hard
for less than your standard motorcycle dealership will sell them if you want to try them.

That's a Yuasa part number, pretty much industry standard, most MC battery companies use that number or a derivative of it. CTZ10S, etc.

Lemme know, if you can't find one locally at a decent price, I can bring you one up to Loudon, I'll be up for the Sunday races in August and then the TTDs following.

Re: MOTORCYCLE BATTERY

Denno, I have a couple of 9v's that we can hook up together. Should work fine, it will make it easier to jumpstart, because theirs less weight to push than those crappy yamaha batteries.

Re: MOTORCYCLE BATTERY

this may sound stupid but check with your nearest walmart.

you'd be surprised what they carry for batteries. I needed one for my 83 nighthawk and the local moto shop want almost $80 for an interstate battery for it.

Walmart was $55, just couldn't find one that stocked it.

Re: MOTORCYCLE BATTERY

Walmart, but make sure you get the one in the yellow box labelled Everstart MAXX or whatever, the "black box" ones are lead acid type, and the yellow's are AGM (absorbed glass mat//some call em gel cells) but they are maintenance free.

If it's vertical you can use the l-acid style, but I prefer the safer gell style myself, and they're about 50-70$ (walmart) and they have a healthy warranty and plenty of locations to exchange them at weird hours should the need arise

Else that, I'd go DieHard , little more expensive but they use 2-3 oem's for theirs depending on size, Yuasa is one and the other two are reputable (just cant remember em at the moment).
