Carb Day

Hhhmmmm
I was just thumbing through my manual to study up for the morning's carb. class. Upon research on syncing it mentions that "adapters" will be be needed to hook up to the vacum lines for testing...........is this gonna be a problem??? Not sure whos sync' set up we're gonna use and if it has lil' adapters with it Apperently on the latter modles of da VFR's they come with adapter's w/ vacum caps allready on them.......them bastards ...
Oh well I still plan on seeing ya in da morning

Just got home from "carb day" and wanted to give a BIG shout out to Mark, Jay and everyone else. Oh I cant forget bout cheryl and the great lunch that she dished out for us
It was awesome to get together and learn a few things, such as what happens when the vacum line s are hooked up wrong (Jeff)
My bike is running much better now, but I still need to work on that poppin I have (and NO rye it's not kool)

me too! me too!

had a blast, learned a bunch of stuff, got to chill w/ summa the cooler folk I know...

(even got to find out that removing excess vacuum lines to save weight isn't a good idea... unless you're into pushing bikes uphill as an aerobic workout program )

only sour note was the wierdness w/ Rye's bike... hopefully, by now, that's history...

Jay, thanx for hosting the circus... Mark, full props on the carb schoolin'... Ryan, Dan, Randy, wastedmark-- great to see you again...

oh: and the ole Kat runs like a raped ape, now

Glad we could arrange this, and I hope everyone walked away learning a few things. The big thanks goes to Mark for tooling around on all the bikes and 'teaching' us all a thing or two about the different fuel/air mixture techniques...

I had fun too!!

Thanks to Jay and Cheryl for hosting and feeding us!

Thanks to Mark for his work and sharing his knowledge. I think you've forgotten more than I will ever know about engines.
Quite an array of carb set-ups we had.

How did Rye make out?

Well, he didn't straighten out the probs he was having. Strange thing is, I ran into the house to use the shitter. When I came out, all his stuff, his carbs and MY TL-R were gone!

No, really....

the carbs picked up some plastic chips( from fuel bottle I think) ..and jammed his needle valve and seat...Fuel pump just kept pumping...

I saw him (Rye) and the carbs last night, found more in the carbs, but is all fixed up now....

I think Jay's Tiller is gonna mysteriously reappear tues nite...

I did. Just the type of guy I am, I guess....

Funny thing too. I gave him plenty of options...

1) I'd drive him down to his house...

2) He could take the Soob...

3) He could take the Tiller

No surprise what he picked, eh?

Mid to high very nice pull. I'd like to see more down low. Not anemic by any stretch, but I know your motor can make more down low Jay. Then again I really wasn't stomping it, we'll save that for the owner.

It's actually pulling down low better than it did, even stock. Before the new map/air filter, it had nexta nothing under 6000. Now, at least it starts to pull at about 4000...

But we'll smooth that out too, soon enough....
