MY SV died

Yesterday I took my SV to the dealer for tire & oil change, also, to check the charging system, funky things have been happening lately, 3 weeks ago, I replaced the battery, but still somethings not right, when I put my blinker on to turn intop Rochester Motorsports, the engine died, I coasted into the repair shop,

something is sucking the juice out of the battery, they checked the stator, its putting out over 100vac, (specs say anything over 70 is good) they put the battery on a charger overnite, maybe the voltage regulator is bad

MY SV died

not yet, service dept is closed Monday, I stopped by saturday after the mechanics left for the day, the only word I have is that the charging system is ok, starting to sound like I have a problem with my vest, but it heats good, and does not overheat, have any hot or cool spots, they will check over the wiring Tuesday morning, maybe they will find something.

MY SV died

Needs another new battery, shulda been in today, but not yet, SV has a battery unique to the SV so nobody keeps them in stock I really wanted to go riding today, my new tire needs to be scrubbed in, looks like I won't hit 50k by the end of the year.

Glad to hear your bike's running great again. If I have mine back in time you can count me in for that "Blast the Kanc" ride!

MY SV died

I got my SV back, but somethin's still not right, either I got another bad battery or that wern't the problem, could be just a bad connection, but I'm startin to think the regulator is shot. best I can get out of it is 13, maybe 13.1 volts, it should be puttin out between 13.5 & 14.8

I know it ain't my lectric vest causin the problems, cause it checks out for the right ohms and it it had a short, it would blow the damn fuse

I rode about 120 miles yesterday and when I got back it took 4 hours on the charger to get it back to full again

When was the last time you gave the squirrels food & water. Maybe they're just gettin' a bit tired...

MY SV died

yea, I've been eyeballing their website the past few days, I'm gonna talk to my mechanic first, then i was thinkin of giving them a call, they don't list anything for the SV but it may be the same as some other models,

their website gives me the impression that if they don't have something, they will try to figger sumthin out for ya,
