If you post it somewhere like in your sig on another forum and someone clicks that link to register, it shows in the system that you referred them. It's nothing important, just there if you wanna use it to refer people in and have it on record somewhere.

That's weird. Once you're in 'awaiting confirmation' status I think there's a link you can click to re-send that email. Do you know what the username was? I can resend it, to circumvent his laziness.
