well ben, ironically, if finally happened...

...by an irritable cop... i really did try to be nice, all i tried to tell him is that there were many other bikes on that road, and how was he sure it was me? (and i wasn't being sarcastic) he just didn't want to hear it, and started to tell me to 'shut up', and i didn't, what, all of a sudden you can't talk to a cop? fuck him. then, my attitude changed as his did, and piss poor attitudes just feed off each other, and i made him walk over to me for my lic. and reg. (held it out in that 'you come and get it ass wipe' fashion) so he threatened to arrest me for:

driving to endanger
failing to stop
resisting arrest

COMPLETE BS. he just started shooting his mouth off 'cause he got mad that this plebian actually had the NERVE to question his judgment in front of his cop buddies. loooooooong story, don't feel like typing it out... i almost, ALMOST, stuck my arms out in an effort to challenge him to arrest me, but i knew to win that pissing match would probably require a bike tow and night in jail... even if it was all bs...., still would have been a pain in the ass...

the other two cops on the scene were a little nicer, one of them even asked me, "what did you say to set him off?" yeah, like he was completely rational...

then, they go into their cars and warm up their microwave meals, the irritable cop finally emerges after finishing off the peas section, and all of a suddenn, has a 180 degree attitude adjustment. maybe the older cop was his supervisor and told him to cool it?

he walks over to my bike, checks it out almost like he's admiring it, then inquires about the trackday sticker on my windscreen. and that's when i say with a smile, "Yeah, it's called trackday, let's you speed somewhere other than on public roads...." Of course, that came out smart-assy, but it didn't seem to phase him (i was fully prepared to get arrested anyway, so i didn't care)

turns out, the bitter officer was a harley rider... he was also the youngest of the three, looked like a freshman in high school... might partly explain the attitude.

walked away with a ticket for passing in a no passing zone. this one looks easy to beat, for a variety of reasons... again, don't want to type it out,...

this guy was the quintessential 'asshole cop'.

i got a letter asking to support local cop. pfff... figure they have to beat it out of you for support.

dude, DON'T WORRY about it too much... the MOST that will happen, is that you'll have to spend $320, and you insurance will go up by about 2 points...

I've already got a line on it... Was thinking of getting pictures of several yellow bikes, and ask the officer to pick out mine. Also, what color helmet was I wearing? Jacket?

on top of the fact that maybe, oh, 3 miles elapsed from when I passed him to the actual pullover point. of all the tickets I've fought, this one might actually be the easiest....

maybe I'll tell the magistrate (after they turn bitter when I say, "Appeal")....
