No, our next president will be elected sometime in December by the Electoral College. Tommorrows vote may or may not be binding, depending on what state you are from. Tomorrows vote only choses who your states delegates to the Electoral College are supose to vote for.

It takes for you two to be married 3 or 5 years (depending on the situation) after obtaining a visa by marriage for her to get her green card (and it's with a conditionnal status first). Then, it takes an awful lot of time to obtain a citizenship. I have all the papers here to request it. But I'm still waiting for them to remove my conditionnal status of a permanent resident, it's been almost 2 years that I've sent the papers. They are WICKED slow at processing paperwork. I called quiet a few times to see what's going on, they are processing requests in order that it was received and last time I checked, they were months behind. I don't know what the heck they are doing, but I'm thinking there must not be so many migrants to this country that it takes them so long? Oh I get it...they're sitting in their cubicle, doing 9 am to 4:30pm, and I'm somewhere in a storage room in a little white cardboard box.

IT's only been two years since you've been here???

Actually my wife came over as a child(her aunt helped them to come over) and when we got married we thought it would be all peachy, but that's not so anymore, she still has to go through the same crap as everyone else.....

BTW it five years this december we've been married

No, I've been here almost 6 years. When I got my visa, I had to wait 3 years being married before requesting for a permanent resident status. They gave me "conditionnal" permanent resident status, as they do with everyone, and after 2 years being on the conditionnal status, I had to request for them to remove the conditionnal status to be only permanent resident. I have sent the papers to remove the "conditionnal" status almost 2 years ago...and I'm still waiting, because they say they are still processing requests that came before mine.

right and the kicker is that they are not legally bound to vote in accordance to the popular vote.....

due to the fact that votes in big states could be bought. It works out though cause we live in a Dem state that will almost always go with the dem no matter who or what they are, so in that sense my vote and yours doesn't really count
