how do you feel about the fact that Kerry couldn't even be bothered to come out and speak to his supporters who stayed up all night in the wind and rain? even though he said he would...

just for the sake of my curiosity...

how many actual, genuine "Kerry supporters" do you reckon there are on this site?

granted, I stayed absent from the political poo-throwing in here for quite awhile... but about all I've ever seen are the "anyone but Bush" contingent-- not any real, die-hard Kerry fans...

Seems to me Bush is going to have a FAR clearer mandate than last time...

Honestly.. I don't think this changes anything, just four more years of the same thing. I just want to hear the BS on this forum stop...

I know you think I kill conservative babies and rob from the rich to feed the poor and all that shit.... but I never registered as a Democrat before this election and I was even pretty ambivalent about Bush until he waltzed into Iraq..

So I'm not sure this bothers me more than having to listen to Joe for another four years.

yeah, but that's not saying much...

when the election comes down to one state's electors, it doesn't quite qualify as a sweeping victory...

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking this morning... People waited in the cold rain only to have Edwards come out at 2:30 in the morning....

They just have their priorities all wrong.

I was joyriding my bike around last night. It was fun. Too bad it started raining.

let's see, hmm, White House Chief of Staff, the Market's, the popular vote, the fact that Bush was leading all the way through the precinct reporting in Ohio.....

C'mon bemus, do you really think the "real" tally isn't already known?

What is required for you to say the President has a Mandate?

It sounds like there are still going to be fights in the last three states. (Iowa, Ohio, and New Mexico)

BUT the President appears to be ahead by like 10-20k votes in each of those states..

Isn't that enough? Or do you think you have to win by like 10% or more and/or a large margin of electoral votes?

The f*cked up thing is it sounds like there were still issues in Florida.. the President won by a decent margin so it doesn't matter but that's ridiculous, Florida should have the best election system in the country by now after the events of 2000.

yeah, ten percent would be nice... a twenty-five percent margin would be even more telling. that would be a clear indication that the voters in this country are behind the Prez and all he stands for.

once again, we're faced w/ a President leading a country populated by just about as many people who didn't want him in office as did.

if you asked a random, passing Tree Squid, he'd prolly tell you that that means only half the country-- plus a little bit-- is enlightened; the other half are drooling idiots. but I don't necessarily see it as that cut 'n' dried.

do I think Bush is gonna win? yep. Ohio's gonna go to him, I reckon, and NM and IA just don't matter. but... if I were a Bush supporter, I wouldn't be leaping for joy...

simply stating that the results aren't final ain't an indication of sour grapes or wishful thinking or anything else... just da facks, ma'am...

I was going to argue these verbal secretions point by point, but you know what? That would be worth as much as a broken down Katana rusting away under a bridge....

Is this just some irrational fear that Bush is going to cause you to lose your job, or are you really about to lose your job?

Hope things work out...

IMO, if you voted for Kerry that makes you a Kerry supporter.

But for the sake of argument I'll change "Kerry supporter" to "those who voted for Kerry".

I still would like some feedback pertaining to the title of this thread though...

How about this.. you were just trolling...

Might as well have an intelligent discussion about the election instead of wondering why he chose not to go out in the rain.

Where did Bush set up? Did it rain there?

let's face it, you're simply anti-Bush, and that's really all thats relevant with respect to the campaign thereof.
