As promised, I wont be arguing politics on here anymore. So here's my last few words on the subject:

I am frightened of being drafted, frightened of major economic collapse, frightened for the people who are going to die in the next four years of warmongering, and pissed off that people would trust a red-neck cowboy who led us into a war under false pretenses.

Well for me politics isn't something that comes along every 4 years. Current events and our government have always fascinated me so I'm alway's reading/ watching the news.


BTW, you're NOT going to be drafted and the economy is on an upswing.

Anyway, your fears are unfounded. Relax, you will not be drafted and neither will ANY of your friends or relatives. Our armed services will continue to be a volunteer service. The war in Iraq will continue, yes, and we will probably lose a few more good Americans, but war is HELL. I was over there in 1990-1991 and I know how bad it sucks, but the job needs to be completed.

You also need not fear for the economy. It is on the upswing and all indicators say that trend will continue.

It is a GREAT day to be an American!
