did you catch the full story???

They stopped the spelling bees because there could only be 1 winner, and all the other kids would lose....

Well then they had better fucking study then hadn't they....

Then they should the clip of that kid that passed out 2 years ago up on stage at the nationals, and claimed it was due to over exhausion from studing too hard....

Well maybe all our kids should be stupid, just like my little sisters gen. I swear my 3yr old knows more about history then her and her friends

schools get money for asses in seats How you play the game is determined by what defines winning.

I am an educator I have one over riding principle and paradigm: I need the summers off

Now for real fun lets put those titchers im o spillin bees.

If you educate a fool the result is an educated fool

They don't want the parents to catch on that the warehousing is not producing results.

Thinking causes wrinkles

no this time you can go fuck yourself. I saw the original story and the school board didn't want to comment on it. Now that parents were outraged they blamed it on something that has nothing to do with the 'no child left behind'. Do you understand the conscept of NCLB means, it means we need to educate all the children, not just those in upscale public, or private schools. It means all children need and should get the best education we can afford, and then some.

So this time I say, you can go fuck yourself, and hopefully you won't ever procreate

After last year's spelling bee, school principals indicated they didn't want to take part again. They told the assistant superintendentthey felt the bee hurt children's self-esteem, and conflicted with the Bush administration's No Child Left Behind education law because it didn't allow all students to succeed.

Again you can take anything out of context and spin it your way... The 2 words THEY FELT completely change the entire paragraph, dickhead

also funny that the station interviewed more then 5 kids that didn't win, and were more upset the bee was being canceled

interviewer to young boy...."did you win a spelling bee", boy "no", interviewer "do you feel bad about not winning the bee", boy "no, I'm kinda sad they're canceling it though I liked doing it, it was fun"....All PARAPHRASED FROM MEMORY

I should have won my 5th grade spelling bee, but the idiot judges thought that I spelled voyage V-O-Y-A-J-E because I was from connecticut so I didn't have a fucked up accent like the rest of the new hampshire hillbilly children. Who gets to the final round of a spelling be and misspells voyage "voyaje"? What am I, norwegian? Idiots. I was pissed.

True story.

The judges were clearly taken aback by my proper enunciation, expecting me to slur my wuhds like a prawpuh bahstin idjit.

I won my 7th grade geography bee, but I don't consider that a big accomplishment because this is new hampshire, and people from new hampshire have zero knowledge of geography. I won because I was the only kid who could answer the final question correctly, "name another state"

And just so you know, I really love how I can say something completely lightheartedly in response to a lighthearted remark from bigred, but because it's from me, you take it personal.

Just keep calling me a dickhead. It will make you feel better.
