Should I be thinking differently

Lately I have had thoughts of wanting to wipe out the entire islamic and muslim states on the planet. It seems that they cause nothing but trouble. They claim to be a peaceful religion and that all humans are created as equals. Lets analyze this for a moment. All humans are equal. Then why on earth do they treat their wives and women in general as inferiors?

They claim to be peaceful and the qaran specifically states that no muslim can partake in terrorism. It seems perfectly clear to me that its ok to partake in any terrorist act so long as it is in the name of their god and they feel it will bring justice to those who have been wronged. Umm.. Looking at recent history the alied nations were not known for flying planes into buildings, killing thousands of people in the name of our God because we were jealous of what other countries have.

If you ask me the only reason why these people have attacked us is because we are not living in mud shacks. They started this shit years ago. Before any sanctions, or other blockades we had in place. Simply put if you can not play well with others then don't expect to be invited into the sand box. It is not our fault we have grown into the greatest country on the planet. If you want us to lift sanctions and help your plight then stop blowing shit up. Stop biting the hand that could feed you. The more you attack for your idea of justice the more our justice will be swift and brutal.

So instead of dicking around 1 small terror cell at a time I say we level the entire middle east. Fuck'em all. Tactical Nukes all the way. Low yield radiation, High yield devestation. We sure got Japans attention and look at them now. They may still hate us to a degree but they now know we are not fucking around. Taking care of the middle east would provide glass sculptures for all and oil and gas for the rest of the world. Give it to the Israelies, lord knows they would run the area like a strong business. The islamics may hate us too. Well guess what assholes, We hate you back, MORE! and have the budget and weaponry to prove it.

I think there are a lot of people feeling the same way you do.

I heard quite a few callers on the radio expressing these same sentiments. While most people tend to think it is a little over the top and an overreaction there is some truth to what you say.

I have not read the Koran but I have done some reading on Islam recently, it is NOT 100% true that the religion is totally peaceful, the extremists DO have justification from the Koran and Muhammeds behavior and the behavior of Muslims over the course of history. For most of the history of the religion Jihad has been acceptable behavior with the constant goal of capturing more land and forcing more people to accept Islam.

It is time for mainstream Islam to address this once and for all, they have pretty much just stayed quiet during these terrorist attacks, some of them will get on the news, etc.. and argue that mainstream Islam is peaceful but overall the religious leaders do not 100% decry the terrorist attacks, and the countries where these people come from have only paid us lip service in stopping the terrorism.

I think it is time we start to play a little more hardball with more of these countries. Not necessarily invasions but find some way to force them to become accountable.

I concur...but for different reason...

I truly beleive that the vast majority of muslims are peaceful and mean us no harm...if they all did we'd be fucked...there are way too many of them...

However their lack of outrage and disapproval of the "bad apples" is fucking bullshit....

they seem to find their way in front of a camera when a couple naughty pictures show up of some POW MISTREATMENT(not fucking tourture) yet never seem to find a microphone when something horrible happens....telling people "hey this aint us...we dont agree...."

sure makes ya think what they are saying...by saying nothing....

Bigred I actually disagree with you, no doubt a lot of them are peaceful, most likely the majority, but that is not why the "bad apples" can't cause more trouble.

The reason the "bad apples" can't cause more trouble then they do is just because on average they are so poor. Look at the countries that are predominantly muslim. Very poor average citizens, very wealthy dictators, very few rights for the citizens. Not much you can do to cause trouble when you've got no money and no rights.

We should as a minimum lean hard on Saudia Arabia to arrest the radical muslim leaders wahabee (sp?) sects that openly proclaim death to the infidels. They also run brain washing schools to whip the young ones into the terror fits.

Terrorists in a nutshell.....

They have nothing. They put everything they have into the 1 and only thing they know.... Religion. They have no money, no self respect, no future, no real definition of the "Ideal Life".... or at least what we Americans consider an "Ideal Life". Their government doesn't allow them to grow and their religion gives them faith... something to look forward / ahead at to.... it's blinded faith... a future.... a belief... and they follow it everyday of their lives.

They live in such a suppressed part of the world with little / no exposure to advancement in society. They disagree with all modern ways of life and believe everything they're told by their leaders. You can't possibly put yourself into their mindset. We're developed as humans so much differently and it's something, we as Americans, need to understand.

In the meantime... BLOW THEM ALL UP!! They keep fucking shit up around here.

We have money / technology that allows us to make statements all over the World. They are forced to make statements in other ways (9/11, Today, etc). Our solders are dying to ensure proper development of that part of the World... and really, that isn't such a bad thing. Think unselfishly for a second. Yea, I know it sucks for Americans but it's really for the good of the World. It IS one of the downside to stepping up and making a World change.... but someone needs to do the dirty work. We decided to make it happen and as a World power we SHOULD be the ones suffering right now... taking the hits. Seriously, to even suggest that the appropriate response to terrorism (which kills thousands) is to drop a nuke is to make a mockery out of the sacrifice our grandparents made during WWII, a war that killed millions upon millions. Dropping nukes on Japan while savage and horrible was a way to save hundreds of thousands of more lives. Dropping nukes as a result of terrorism to save a few thousand lives makes us into terrorists.

There isn't even the vaguest of analogous comparisons between that situation and today, not even the whiff of a comparison.

Yup, in total, MAYBE 20,000 civilians all told have died as a result of islamic terrorists... Thats a big fucking difference between the millions upon millions of civilians who died during WWII. I don't in any way suggest we should cower, I just don't think we should be using a cannon to swat a fly. During WWII we reserved using Nukes until they were a last resort, until the only other option we had was invading Japan where the best case estimates put additional US soldier deaths at something like 200,000 and additional Japanese civilian death at a number much larger than the number killed during the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. That is justification (AT A VERY MINIMUM), this is not.

In WWII we knew who the enemy was and what was at stake. That is no different then today. We know who our enemies are and what is at stake.

It's not just a numbers game. What "country" do we nuke? What city do we decide is "mostly terrororists"? It's such a ridiculous proposition I can't even begin to attack it! Who will we deter from being a terrorist if say we nuke some major islamic city? You think that will STOP terrorists? It will create a million MORE! What would you do if someone nuked say Boston? I bet nearly every person within a 1000 mile radius would take up arms and start killing anyone they thought was responsible the world over. How will the "terrorist" reaction be any different? Take any city you would propose nuking, and then ask yourself the question "how many of these people are directly or even indirectly involved in terrorism". The answer is way less than 1% of the population of said city, so 99% should die for the actions of 1%? If you can't see how that is different then nuking two cities in Japan where most of the population was involved in producing weapons for the war effort, theres something not functioning in that noggin of yours... but then again, I guess the avatar should have tipped me off to that...

Simple answer is that Nukes can deter nations, but they won't deter terrorists since there is no center of terrorists you could just "take out".
