Mexican Walk OutI am in solidarity with my Mexican worker friends. I want a real boycott like for 1 or 2 years ( How long does it take to erect a fence?) That'l show us !!! I really have to wonder why there aren't continuous riots and boycotts in Mexico. Protesting why this place sucks so much I have to leave to feed my family. A strange coincidence that the date of these protests were MAY DAY the traditional celebration of the Bolshevik revolution and world communism. Especially if its mostly Mexicans with Cinco de MAyo 4 days later. |

Mexican Walk OutIndeed, beet, we are all immigrants. But keep in mind, so were the original settlers as they came across the Berring Straight, many years ago. So, by that logic, none of us belong here. Seriously, we have laws against people being here illegally, isn't that enough ? For that matter, try sneaking into ANY other country in the world and see what happens when you get caught without the proper documentation. A foreign government can do anything they wish to someone who does not belong there because said person is there, ILLEGALLY, subject to the laws in that country. Isn't it about time the laws are enforced ? We're not supposed to exceed the speed limits on the highways and roads, but when we get caught, we either pay a fine or go to jail. Why are the same standards not enforced against people who have no right to be here in the first place ? The whole issue is about the rule of law. It seems as if people here, ILLEGALLY, have more rights than those of us who belong here and are productive, taxpaying citizens. Perhaps the illegals don't understand our laws because they are predominantely written in English....... ![]() |

Mexican Walk OutOnly in America can thousands of illegal immigrants protest quite legally. Only in America can they demand things of a system that really doesn't owe them anything. Only in America can the media go along with their pleas and say nothing of their demands. Only in America can those who snuck into this country try to threaten this country. Only in America can they try to stop commerce to force their way into our commerce. Only in America can the kindness of our hearts blind us to the stupidity of our policies — policies that support those who break the law and make a mockery of those who try to follow the law. Only in America can we tell those who entered here by the books that there are special allowances made for those who do everything off the books. That it's OK to threaten and coerce, strike and shout, wave flags that aren't this country's and remind us of the great pride they have in other countries. Some in the media say it's simplistic to say if you don't like it here, get out of here. Let me just say it's insulting that those who enjoy bounty here have the nerve to say they're offended here. I feel for their ego. I feel more for us. - Neil Cavuto |

Mexican Walk OutThe boycott really effected me. I'm still reading about this crap. This was the perfect opportunity for the INS to save alot in fuel money. Just today one of the guys I work with says "you should see the price in my country", so I said where is your country? He said "the dominican republic", so I replied... so what are you doing here? |
