Were you listening to Opie & Anthony this morning? They basically said the same thing.

His only good movie was the 6th Sense. Everything else went downhill from there.

(side note, as long as he keeps casting Bryce Howard to star in them, I'll keep watching, but wait for them to come to DVD)

no, i missed them this morning. I was just reading about the lady in the water and how crappy the reviews were... Then I started thinking about the the moment in my life that I will never get back from watching "the Village", that was prety much my trigger for posting.

He was on the Stern show, and was saying that his usual distributors wouldn't touch the movie, so he had to cough up a lot of cash and do a lot of the work on his own. I guess we know why now.

I think it was "Unbreakable" that did it for me. A story about a guy who kills to find his nemesis.....a modern-day super hero story.

Did he do the movie with Bruce Willis and the kids hanging out in the farmhouse during the Alien invasion? I saw that one and unbreakable on rental.

Thanks for confirming it.. I never understood what people saw in his movies.. seemed like hype.

He always seems to make sure you can't tell what the hell the movie is about from the trailers.. that must help sales.

The problem with his movies is that he goes for that "ohhhhhhhh that's what's going on" at the end of the movie and he's not realizing that it only works once for any one movie writer.

The 6th Sense worked great, becasue he hadn't used it yet. Everything after that had to try and have that "shock value" at the end.

The holes in the story line are what tick me off... Signs - They travel billions of miles in spacecraft, but can't figure out how to open a damn door and communicate with crop circles...

The twist at the end of 6th sense was about the only decent thing he's done...

I thought the Sixth Sence was brilliant, but its been a decline ever since.

The Village was fucking criminal. I cannot believe a studio paid for that.

I had read that M. Night's usual distribution groups wouldn't distribute the new movie, so he had to put in some of his own cash.

With a 1.5 star average review, no wonder they wouldn't touch it.

I really liked Unbreakable, but the last five minutes made the entire movie. Definitely not a movie I think I could watch again now that I know the ending. Sixth sense was pretty good too

it wasnt bruce willis it was mel gibson. i thought SIGNS was OK. unbreakable was time betterspent somewhere else
