Amish school shooting

Just heard it on the news of 11pm....I hope the bastard rot in hell. Stupid coward killed 4 children, and sent a few more in the hospital in critical condition, many with head wounds from gun shots. Killing himself was actually too much of an easy way out for him!

Whats extra bad it was kind of a copy cat.

Abuse some children on the way out.

I am sure there is a special place in hell for him

The poor Amish would not have guns but I always have to think that gun control has guarranteed the sickos a free fire zone of unarmed victims.

You don't need a gun the police will be here in twwenty minutes... What can happen in 20 minutes.

I also heard that it may have been an act of revenge for a 20 year old dispute.

The poor guy was "tormented with memories" from when he molested two young girls when he was 14.

Time to arm teachers.

My wife is a 6th grade teacher in Brockton. You can't get into her school without being buzzed through a double set of security doors. There is a list of which parents CANNOT pick up their kids. If you are not on the list. you don't get in. I had to have a Corey check to visit the school. That's how it should be.

That's how it should be.

back in the day when I was a schoolboy, it was common to get on the bus with a firearm, especially during hunting season, then walk home and do a little hunting after school on the way

We had to leave the rifles in the office - they frowned on them being in lockers...

Kids with firearms on the school bus OR in school should not be allowed. Then some sicko teenager will decide to shoot a few students when "nobody understands him". I agree something should be implemented for teachers to be able to defend themselves and their students tho....and I think metal detectors and double doors should be a MUST in every school. Doesn't matter if it's a "good or bad neighborhood", it's pretty clear it can happen anywhere, rich kids, poor kids...it takes only one to take too many lives.

find me one instance where someone was shot with the firearm they brought to school to go hunting with.

anytime you set up a vdz (victim disarmament zone) expect one thing to happen sooner or later, some shitbag will show up to shoot people.

I have heard that in Isreal if you were an officer in the army you are required to have a weapon on you like a NYC Cop. Even after you are retired.

I'm not sure how it works but it's something like that Rich.

Everyone is military or ex-military in Israel unless their is some great reason you're unfit for duty.

It sounds somewhat like an NRA member's wet dream. You definitely see a lot of big guns on a regular basis. Except a LOT more people get killed in violent ways over there. It's just not the same situation as the US.

No fear and a simple lack of respect for something called life!

Not to get into a parenting debate but some folks just aren't doing their jobs.

Good point. BUT, the crimnals definitely have the upper hand over there. Anytime the gov't tries to take away the right to bear arms from the people, it will only empower the bad guys and make the good guys more vulnerable.

Kid would think twice if he knew 4 other people on the bus had guns, now wouldn't he.

I think we should make it mandatory firearms training just like home-ec. When people don't understand guns/weapons/cooking is when they fuck it up so bad.

Shit, lot easier to kill a lot of people with a vehicle, I don't suppose we should ban them for teenagers now should we?

Ok. I have nothing persay against firearms..heck I love them. I'd love to have one, or even a few. I wouldn't mind either if my kids learned about them, went to shooting ranges with daddy, etc. I went with my dad when I was young and shoot a...is it a 3006? (Not sure how to write it) and I also shot with a 12.

What I'm afraid of, is this ONE kid who suddenly decide the world is against him and decide it's ok to shoot everyone, and then take his own life. I know...it's gonna happen regardless but....wtf. Can we really stop this? I don't think so... "Where there's a will, there is a mean"

Gunna happen regardless. You are right.

How to minimize that? Stop telling the kids they are "special" and "entitled" when in the real world they aren't.

Gloria: Do you know that sixty percent of all deaths in America are caused by guns?

Archie: Would it make you feel any better, little girl, if they was pushed out of windows?

+1 but "some"? "SOME"??? Try "a shitload". In my opinion, lack of respect and not knowing or just not caring about the consequences of your actions is the #1 problem in the United States. A good sense of basic values; respect, trustworthiness, loyalty, obidence, etc just isn't being taught to so much of America's youth.
