N Korea NukesSupposedly Kim Jung Ill popped off another one today. What would you think of giving NUKES to S. Korea, Japan and maybe Taiwan They are the closest to N Korea. If you gave then like a 1/2 a doz nice 1 megaton "devices" then they would not have to develop their own Nuke technology and be happy with the insurance we provided and hopefully not make more or distribute others. I also think it would be an interesting lesson for Iran They get Nukes we give some to Sudia Arabia and maybe Turkey or just 1 to the Kurds. The idea is not to destabilize but to remove the advantage from the evil states and hopefully others will say they won't spend the money because at the end they would be less safe or less able to thow their weight around. |

N Korea NukesGood Idea... BUT I don't belive the governments you stated have the proper security to have a Nuke. What we need to be worried about is rougue states or Terrorists getting nukes. The Koreans are playing a little game. We need to send in Team America! Fuck YEAH! |

N Korea NukesI think I must be misguided or something, because I dont actually give a rat's ass if North Korea has nukes. Remember our last "atomic war"? It was called the Cold War. The US and Russia both built huge nuke stockpiles, and the one who lost was the one with the smaller wallet. No one had the balls to use the nukes because the retaliation would be so obvious. The way I see it, we point our nukes at them, tell them to shut the fuck up, and ignore them. They know enough to know that if they hit us with a nuke, we'll wipe them off the face of the earth. I know its not the happiest ending, but I think at this point, it is the best possible solution. ![]() |

N Korea NukesYep, you just gotta assume that the current crackpots running "Rogue nations" are as rational about Mutual assured destruction or whatever it's called as we are and the Soviets were. It might not be a case of North Korea attacking us or selling it to a terrorist. They could decide to go attack someone else who can't instantly respond with overwhelming force. And there is always the possibility we give a weapon to a country with a stable government, and 5 years from now that country destabilizes. Lots of ways that strategy can backfire. If you ever see any Kim Jong Ill propaganada videos.. he is way out there. Insane on a level way beyond Castro, Saddam, Amahadinejad, etc.. who knows what he will do. |

N Korea NukesI say a big heck no to supplying nukes. There ours!! But then again with bush, he would give anything away. I think the easiest solution to the north Korean situation is assassination. We need to hire someone from Al Qaeda to make the hit. I was watching that new show Mega Disaster last night about the potential threat of Yellowstone. Do you think a Nuke would set that bad boy off?? Pretty crazy watching them do a mock explosion and the devastation it would cause to northern America. ![]() |

N Korea NukesI think we should impose economic sanctions against (if we have not already, I am not really up to speed on my politics), hit them in the pocket book, can build more nukes if you out of $$. I don't think playing world wide policeman is the thing to do here. Maybe one of the test will back fire and irradiate some of the fuggas..... |

N Korea NukesIf the yellowstone mega-volcano goes off it is basically Mutually assured destruction for the entire race. It would effect the entire world.. basically a nuclear winter type scenario, no food for 5 years, etc.. it might make the human race go extinct. Who knows if a nuke could set it off though. |

N Korea NukesWhat you mean like China would be upset cause the US is supplying Nukes to a country on their doorstep? I doubt they would care. Unlike in the time of the Cuban missile crisis, we can now hit any spot on earth from any other spot on earth. So China could care less where our Nukes are, as long as we have them. Maybe they'd be pissed off by the symbolism of it or something. |

N Korea NukesI don't like the idea of arming any other country with nukes. I have to agree with Ben on this one. I certainly would not want to give any nukes to the Saudis. Let the Chinese and Russians take care of the situation. If they can't get Jong-Il in check, it's time for us to drop one of our nukes on Pyongang. Anything we have to say about it will be viewed as "agressive" by the quack-job regime in N Korea. They're already blaming us for their hand being forced to develop nukes. Thanks alot Madeline Albright, you stupid cow ! |

N Korea NukesNorth Korea is trying to force the U.S. to lift sanctions we already have in place from the Korean War. They also want us to finish building a nuclear power plant we started coutresy of Bill Clinton. They already have little money and could not afford to build much of an atomic bomb. Nobody is really sure if it was an atomic explosion yet. There is little evidence at the moment to say it was. It was a very small explosion by atomic weapons standards. Only 500 tons of tnt as opposed to the one we dropped on hiroshima 15,000-20,000 tons. There is no evidence of a radiation spike yet, although underground explosions take a while to leach the radiation out. Japan has sent aircraft out to collect air samples and I'm sure the U.S. has also. pingpongyong whatever, is not an idiot. He may be trying to bluff his way into one on one talks with the U.S. He certainly has been crying about how the U.S. has been being aggressive towards North Korea which might be all in his head. As far as giving other countries "our" nuclear weapons that is just retarded. Why would we want to give a country that has no nuclear capabilities a bomb to examine and maybe produce? No countries bombs are built the same way. You can even tell what country the uranium came from by the radiation signature and the way the bomb exploded. |

N Korea NukesI don't think its a stretch to believe that all 3 country neighbors of NK would have to much trouble making a nuke. Japan, Taiwan and S. Korea our 1st world technical powers. Give them a 1/2 Doz and their would be little reason for them to go through the trouble of making their own. Force them to produce a nuke arms industry and you create a self perpetuating bureaucracy like we have... more better faster.... Also I rogue nation should not bother getting nukes knowing we will just arm our friends and their traditional enemies |

N Korea NukesUmmm, Madeline Albright made the agreement with N Korea which gave them the ability to develop nuclear technolgy. The understanding was that N Korea would only use said technology for power. Ms. Albright took Kim Jong-Il at his word because he "promised" that he would only use the technology for "peaceful" means. She was so enamored with that nut job that she trusted him and THAT is why N korea has the technolgy they are currently using to develop NOOCULAR weapons. So, yes, thanks to the ugly, fat cow, we might be looking at another cold war. Only this time, the nut job in question is crazy enough to push the button. |

To put it another way, how many Americans do you think would condone flying an airplane into a building full of civilians as an acceptable tactic of war? It's kind of like that, only on a much grander and more horrifying scale, unbelievable as that is. |
