Screw Party Line Voters

I hate it when voters just check their favorite party's candidate for a race they know nothing about.

Here in VT, there is a strong anti-Bush sentiment, which led to the Republican party taking an ass-kicking in this election. This sucks, because we elected a new State's Attorney here in Chittenden County, Vermont. The Democratic candidate TJ Donovan won, and he is an inexperienced, snot-nosed, ambulance chasing douchebag. The Republican candidate, John St. Francis, is as old-school Vermont as you can get - his Dad was chief of the Abenaki Indian tribe - and currently works as a Deputy State's Attorney. He is a tough, seasoned prosecutor who will now have to work under said weasley little turd.

Which means that I will also have a new boss.

So, as I said, FUCK party line voters.

As much as I hate to say it, I agree. For me, it was leaning towards Healey if half my household income didn't hang in the balance. Getting laid off last year put a bitter taste in our mouths for the Romney admin and the MTA supports Happy-Man. If we can't afford to pay bills since one of us gets laid off every year then it's hard to think about illegal immigrants driving as a big issue.

Sucks, but it's true.

Party line voting is a cop-out. If yer gonna vote, try to at least be informed. All of these Rock the Vote style bullshit efforts are ridiculous...... Maybe, just maybe the emphasis should be on forming an informed opinion and voting, not just voting for the sake of voter turnout...... Douce-bags munts.....

Rant over.

10000000%

although it is impossible to get the absolute truth out of a candidate about what he stands for, but atleast get a clue, don't vote for someone because there not in the same party as Bush, or because my friend said that, "so and so sucks" ... I voted for 2 dems "Tim Cahill, and Joe Denucci, I liked there politics, and they seem to be more about getting things done, then fighting with Reps. I am also registered IND/or no party .. Although I voted for Howie Carr on State Secretary

Thanks. It really sucks, he actually has to leave his job as a Deputy State's Attorney because his opponent won. This really sucks for him, and for all of Chittenden County as well.

I can count on one hand the number of people I have met that have favorable things to say about Ted. It makes me wonder how he still manages to get 69% of the votes. He won every county by a decisive margin.

Isn't that the guy who reads the names of Hispanic traffic violations every day on his show?

If so, I'd like to vote that he be shot in the head in the name of radio shows that don't suck ass.

Actually, I take that back. It would be more fitting if he were beaten to death with a dead horse.

Not me. Putting the fact that he's a murderer aside, I can understand some people feel that an old time senator with a lot of contacts and voice would best serve their state...as opposed to a green newb. I'm in favor of term limits.

exactly why i didn't vote... i'm more embarrased by the fact that i didn't keep myself informed than i am the fact that i didn't vote... I've been pretty much keeping my head in the sand lately when it comes to politics... i fuckin hate politics.

I've already promised myself i won't let this happen again. come next election season I'll force myself to endure the pain & actually pay attention to who the players are & what they stand for.

You say Hispanic, I say Illeagles, to each his own I guess.. And he has been on in NE almost as long as Rush has been on the air.. So I guess it pays to have a suck-ass radio show..

I don't care what you call them, having the same dumb segment every day which wasn't all that funny in the first place is lazy and boring. Do you really listen to that crap every day and say, yeah, this is awesome, I'm never going to get tired of this?

Maybe because he's a huge hunk of man meat and one heck of an entrepreneur.
