I never said my spelling was all that great but i understand the language and don't expect people to change for me! In your effort to point out that i have bad spelling you are missing the whole fuckin point. When i visit other countries i make it a point to use the dialect of the land i am in as best i can. I buy a translation dictionary and do my best. These fuckin people want to live here and can't be bothered. Fuck them.

As far as the indians that were here...there not now. I really can't do anything to better that situation. I was born into this culture the way it is. You can try and be a smart ass and say the indians were here first what about them all you want but it will never change the fact that they aren't here now. All i can do is try a preserve a way of life that im accustomed to and enjoy. I don't want to have to learn a new language to get by in the United States where the language has been english for over 400 years.

I was just messin' with ya. I agree. Changing the national anthem is a terrible idea. "They" are just suggesting it to bait people though.

The reality is: The first generation of folks move here and struggle with English. Some learn it well, some don't, and some don't learn it at all. They eventually have kids who learn both languages. When those kids have kids, they are lucky to learn the family language. I see it all the time.

I know what your saying and the examples you give are great. Those really aren't the immigrants that im worried about. Sounds as though they have embraced America and worked within the system to earn what they want and you should be proud to have people like that as your friends.

This whole rant was in reaction to the anti-patriotic nature of alot of immigrants (mainly the illegal variety) who seek to take advantage of the system that they have not given in to. Its like walking up to someone at the track changing the set-up on thier bike without asking and riding off with it. Fuckin disrespectful.

I'm an immigrant, but I came here following the fuckin book. I didn't make any special requests, I learned the language, and I pay my taxes. Someone told me the other day that he was trying to have his father come here from Mexico I think, saying it was a nightmare with the immigration and everything...he said he should have this member of his family jump the damn fence and spare all the money and troubles. I so wanted to answer to that, but being the nice girl I am...I didn't say a word. I was still pissed off, because from my point of view, if I had to endure this whole process to come here legally, why shouldn't you and your family? Was waiting at the doc's office for my daughters appointments today. Take the "Time" magazine, read an article about those illegal immigrants...they were saying that "they" (the immigrants) were protesting and complaining, saying they're not criminals, that they have EVERY right to be here, and the article was saying that they (immigrants AND americans family, friends, etc. of those illegals) were asking for CITIZENSHIP to be GIVEN to illegals. How fucked up is that??? I'd LOVE for the US government to GIVE me my citizenship. But no, I'll have to pay hundreds of dollars to apply, I'll have to answer a bunch of questions about US history and government, and proove that I can speak and understand english well enough to "Deserve" to become an american. Why is it that those fuckers might be able in a near future to have their citizenship handed on a gold platter for them, while all the other LEGAL immigrants of this country will still have to go thru all the process of obtaining it (paying lots of $$, waiting years, passing a questionnaire, etc.)? Make the fucking rules the SAME for EVERYONE!!!
