He's warn out his critics here, maybe elsewhere.

No one here has the strength anymore to even rail against this latest surge for Iraq.

Are you guys all ridiculed out ?

How do you figure he "won"? His approval ratings are in the toilet, no one supports his troop escalation plan, and Congress has said they wont give him the money to follow through with it.

Maybe he won the "Biggest Douche in the Universe" Contest.

I realize I may be in the minority and I may be a considered a "war monger" but I agree with alot of what he said and is now going to do.

I won't debate it via internet but I would be happy to discuss it...

Obama and McCain both had good points as well but I side with McCain more.

Just my 0.2

I'm not sure what McCain said on the issue but everything he's ever said i've pretty much agreed on... he tends to side with common sense as do I

2. A Specialist saying: Trust me sir
3. A 2LT saying: Based on my experience
4. A Captin saying: I was thinking...
4. A Warrent Officer saying: Watch this shit

There was a slim chance that he night have said.

I have ordered my field commanders to do whatever they believe necessary to suppress the insurgent violence.

Anything less and our guys and girls can't win.

The great philosopher Janice Joplin said freedom is nothing left to lose. Bush in his waining days without fear for upcoming elections had the freedom to do the above... but did not.

Sorry Guys and Girls Please keep your heads down till the pull out.

Nah

There should be a policy if we are following Iraqi insurgents that we don't stop at the border....safe haven.

Well at this point the problem is Iran but nuke this, sanction that, its for

President Hillary's 2nd term

Assuming she is not immolated in the upcoming nuke attacks launched from greater Persia (Iran-Iraq-Syria) in 2011.

slip slowly away from the population centers

From what i've read about it he is pondering a very vietnam like move and going after suppliers in iran and syria who are helping the insurgents. This same tactic was used in vietnam when our government lied to us and sent soldiers into cambodia and told us that they never did cross that border. Congress would have to autorize this to do it officially.

They aren't considering following iraqies into iran. Bush wants to try and enter Iran and Syria to stop those countries from supplying Iraq.

YES !!!!!!!! Rich, I agree that this is what he should have said. But, the longer he stays in office, the more my contempt for him grows. He continues to trip over himself, but he is not learning from his mistakes. It's all fine and good to say that the responsibliity rests on his shoulders, but he is doing nothing to change things for the better.

Dammit G.W., do it right or bring 'em home !!!!!!! Get your head out of your ass, DOUCHE !!!!!

What I mean here is what is your opinion since you are over there.

Do you think what you are doing is for the good of the Iraqis and the US?
Or
Do you think it is a waste and think US forces shouldn't be there?

Didn't he kinda say this? Didn't he say we were going into places we couldn't before? That we would clear areas and keep them clear?...

Did I not here that?

Just a lil background for ppl who dont kno about what I do.....I am stationed in Iraq, I train the Iraqi Army Scout & Recon platoons who are also "intel" for the Iraqi Army....I dont live on a US base like everyone else in the Army....I live with 3,000 Iraqi soliders plus an Iraqi basic training with my Military Intelligence team and me (Im Infantry)....My honest opinion....These people are idiots...I spend everyday with these people....Doing ranges, going over tactics, basically everything Infantry.....And yet they have no common sense....They are a bunch of trigger happy idiots...lol theres no other way I can put it....So yeah they are coming along fine.....

But seriously...There has been HUGE improvement since we have been here with these guys....We go out with the Iraqi Army and conduct missions all the time with them and we pretty much act like big brother and over watch the operation and about 3 weeks ago we caught 29 bad guys that were on the 'hot list' in one day....HUGE uplift of spirits for the IA that day...they were all very pleased.

I think that we do need to have a presence here to over see because I can see the bling leading the blind once we left.

I am proud to be apart of the oppertunity of helping Iraq stand on its own....And I take pride in the guys that I have/ and will have trained this year.

Rich, you need to go back and read your history books. Can you find me one case in which an occupying force, choosing a strategy of increased escalation, won the hearts and minds of the populace? I don't think you can.

It doesn't matter what the occupying force claims to be "in the name of". Democracy, freedom, a better life...none of that matters. The only thing that matters to the insurgents is that we are an occupying force, subjugating them to our way of life. And for every insurgent we supress, their sons and daughters will rally to their cause. That is a fact of occupation, and I defy you to find me one instance where that was not the case.
