BRENTWOOD — A Dover man will spend 3 1/2 to 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting his baby daughter twice in 2005.

Andrew D. Sirois, 25, with a last known address of 366 Central Ave., Apt. 32, pleaded guilty in Rockingham County Superior Court on Friday to two charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault.

The charges stemmed from incidents between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31 of 2005 when Sirois fondled the child, who was not yet 1 year old.

Sirois, under a plea agreement with the county attorney's office, received a suspended fine of $1,000 in addition to the prison sentence. He also received a second sentence of 3 1/2 to 15 years in prison, all suspended, if he participates in counseling under his probation officer's direction and maintains good behavior.

A Rockingham County grand jury indicted Sirois on Sept. 12. The indictment stated that Sirois committed the act "under circumstances that can be reasonably construed as being for the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification."

Assistant County Attorney William Pate said prosecutors are pleased with the plea agreement because it contains the threat of more jail time if Sirois commits another offense. Upon his release, he also must register his address with police.

Pate said Sirois' wife argued in court for a lesser sentence so the family could be reunited.

Sirois also faces one sexual assault charge from another incident involving his daughter that allegedly occurred in Maine in June, Pate said.

I dont know whats worse, what this guy did or the idea that the wife fought in court to get this guy back in the household again sooner.

Okay. I'm all for killing these animals. BUT, how do they determine that it happened? I mean less than a year old? Did something catch this fuck in the act? Is there anymore info on this shit?

This is a perfect example of why the courts should allow chemical castration as punishment...

I don't quite understand how the state gathered evidence beyond a reasonable doubt or really any evidence ?

was he doing this fondling in public? someone didn't like the way he changed his daughters diapers ? or did his wife turn him in?

While I'm all on board for proving someone guilty beyond a reasonable doubt (And believe me, I know what the definition of that is, I sat on many criminal trials in jury duty and they beat that in to your head), the guy DID plead guilty. How he got caught, etc. is still a mystery though.
