That is just un-American talk!

The dudes I saw at the XSBA finals were definately not squids. I would challenge any of you to keep up with their skills.

I can't explain it very well, but I saw one guy tap dancing on the seat while doing a wheelie.

As for Boss; Unfortunately, there is a banana in every bunch.

Let me point you to the classified section of any stunt site. Key words in every post? "No title, I lost it, yo dawg niggah word".

Or how about, the common intelect? "Yo nigga, we be gangsta killin shit on the streets yo!"

I can supply videos of the typical stunt events as well, if you'd like to see the typical atmosphere.

True stunting does attract that type. i try to look to the leaders in the sport though. Like AC and the like. I don't think you see them acting that way.

It is the "underground" keepin "real" fo shizzle my nizzle.

Utterly ridiculous. It is dumbasses like that giving real stunt riders a bad name.

When there's two or three good apples in a rotten bunch, you don't call it a good bunch except for the rotten ones.

I've only met a few stunters, but I've yet to meet one who isn't a complete moron. Seriously.

Anyone who identifies their motorcycling style as a "stunter" - or the perennial, cringe-inducing "stunna" - seems fixated with doing tricks on a sportbike in a parking lot. This is retarded. If you must do tricks, buy a dirt bike. They are lighter, you can do better tricks, and then you can jump it over things.

I was watching "Superbikes" last night with Jason Britten. He was riding Deals Gap with a bunch of R1s. He was the only one riding in a pair of jeans, and every time they went around a corner, the guys on the R1s had their knees down, while Mr. Britten looked like a retarded track day newb. He then finished the ride with a giant stoppie. I was secretly hoping he'd fall on his face.

Doing a wheelie or a stoppie every now and then, in a safe environment, is cool. Being a "stunna" means you suck.

Thanks for your opinion.

I especially like the shot of you dragging along behind your bike while its doing a wheelie. That not only looks stupid, but painful as well. Personally, I like to ride *on* my motorcycle. I'm reasonably certain that is what it was designed for.

Do you use everything ONLY for it's intended purpose?
The penis was designed for insertion into the vaginal canal, and yes that's fun. But is it not also fun and acceptable to insert it into a woman's mouth or anus? What about between her bosoms? Or her sister's bosoms for that matter? What about when you take matters into your own hands? Would that not be considered "stunting" of the penis?? Have you ever "stunted" your own penis, Mr. Highsider? If you can honestly answer "no" to that question, then you can crucify my client on national television. Otherwise, I move that all charges against my client be dropped and I call for an immediate cease and desist from any further intended or actual libelous statements with regard to my client on this or any other forum. Good day, sir.

Like I said... ignorant. And innovative... you are not.

Truthfully, I've been on bikes my entire life and I was sick of their "intended purpose". I raced bikes, built bikes, did track days, cruised the strip, etc. After wearing that all out, I helped flourish a brand new sport... back in late 1999 early 2000 when it wasn't the "in" thing to do. Looking at the situation today, it seems many people also enjoy the idea I helped create. It just so happens many knuckleheads find themselves attracted to it and that is what YOU see. I consider myself a pretty successful individual, with a well paying career, and rather flawless police record (aside from 2 speeding tickets in 97 and 98 in my car). All I'm saying is, I would try not to classify all stunt riders in the "idiot" category. There are many out there looking to make something out there. These riders you may be unaware of because they're out competing professionally, putting on shows, and organizing events. You probably see the stunt riders who rip up and down Hampton Beach strip and ride wheelies down interstate 95.... being completely amateur and making a bad name for the sport. These you see because they have no direction.

Same goes for track people... so everyone should assume people riding off ramps at 100mph should "keep it on the track?" or "motorcycle racers are idiots?" I would never say that, or assume some bonehead taking Exit 25 at 100mph is a professional track racer.

Confucius say... "Young Man must Open Eye to see World in it's Entirety."

Thanks,
Brian

Hey, Hey, now, you're hitting home with that one!

Idiots wrapped in leather (-PK), thank you very much.

**stupid stunters*

Honestly, the riders at Daytona were VERY impressive, many many racers came over to watch. 90' stoppies, etc, etc. Professionals, every one of them.

Brian - what I said was that *I* have not ever met a stunter who wasn't an idiot. I've never met you, but I am very open to the possibility that you are a good guy. I'm just saying that of the people I have met that consider themselves "stunt riders", I have yet to run into someone I think has much in the brains department. If I met more stunters like youself, I might think differently. Nonetheless, at various bike events I have run into several hundred "stunters", and the average is not in your favor.

I don't find stunting interesting; there are three things you can do on a sportbike, a wheelie, a stoppie, and some sort of variant of riding the bike. All stunts are variations of these three things. Personally, I can only watch so much before I get bored. At least dirt bike riders jump and do flips and shit.

I'm not trying to be a ballbuster (well maybe a little, but I don't mean any offense ), I'm just saying that a) I have not run across many stunters I would call stand-up motorcyclists and b) stunting is not my cup of tea.

And I really am sorry, but I dont get the dragging the fuck along behind your bike, rashing your genital area on the pavement thing.

Then again, I live on a mini-farm and enjoy roping cattle off the back of a horse, so take anything I say with a sizeable grain of salt.

I must say I agree with your statements entirely. And much like all things.... I got tired of stunt riding. It is very boring, got boring, and is only a variation of 3 things... all very very true. I got tired of the crowd too. It went from competent individuals with goals, aspirations, and dreams of building something "BIG" to lunatics out to cause trouble, break the law, and do something other than drugs with their lives.

Truthfully, haven't actually "stunted" a bike since probably 2003. Those pics in my avatar are pretty damn old at this point.

I just wanted to convey a different message to you.... maybe make you realize it's a bit more diverse than you think.

Lata,
Brian

I have to chime in here, I have met Brian, assuming this is the Brian From DTE which i don't know of another Brian that was in core 6 so correct me if i'm wrong.. Anyways It was down on the cape when Brain would come down to the Blocked off road near the old airport, I have to say from what i seen He had great Talent, was the only one out of the bunch that was there that had a good leather jacket and gloves. (and it was a hot day, so he was not wearing it for warmth) . and was an all around nice guy.. He didn't know the area so when he needed Gas and a break I showed him where to get gas, Out on the public road in traffic he did not attemped a single stunt.. I would not lump him in with most of the "idiot crowd" Brian, I think what some of the guys on the board here are trying to say is there is an element that does not want to perform in an Arena or Closed roads or parking lots, they want to be out in traffic doing stupid shit for a thrill, at the cost of others lives and well being, they are the ones giving your sport a bad name.....

Just my $.02
Joe
