Just shut the F up

Louis Scooter Libby was convicted yesterday of...

Bullshitting a federal investigator.

He probably did it but what's to learn from this....

If you are ever interviewed, questioned, talked to by any LEO department then

Shut the F up. other then continuously requesting a lawyer to represent you.

You can do prison time if it is discovered that what you said is not accurate or truthful.

NO One in that room should be trusted with your freedom. The F'n prosecutor is just interested in another notch on his belt. No One in the room cares about justice or your rights. It is LEGAL for the interviewer to tell you ANYTHING to obtain information but if your not truthful you can go to jail.

So SHUT UP and Lawyer Up

So he is obviously way too smart for that and I bet he WAS counseled by lawyers to do what he did.

It could very well all have been on purpose to keep Rove from going to jail or Bush or Cheney from being impeached.

I bet he gets a country club prison term.. and it was probably discussed all around that this was a better outcome then having an impeachment during war time.

I agree with Ben here, looks a lot like he was the designated fall guy. He'll probably get a presidential pardon after about five minutes in prison anyway.

You Guys

If they were EVIL like you think why not just kill the rat and his yellow cake report.

worked on vince foster

I don't care about this really just the information that if you talk to any LEO's or DA etc. have a lawyer there and do or not do what they say.

He'll do up an appeal, maybe spend a year or two at Club Fed, and get a pardon when Bush leaves office.

HAAAAAA

Good old Scooter didn't just jump in this game yesterday. He was counseled by the best not some public defender. This isn't something he dreamed up one day while sitting at home eating toast with his wife.

Why is it when a government official gets had this way somehow "we the people" feel whe know why it happened? US government is the legal MAFIA. Hellooooooooooo. Instead of extorsion it's called taxes. Instead of the "juice" it's called interest.

I'll let this go on that discuss.................

either way the trial on him was BS, they couldnt get rove, cheney or bush so they went after him. It's crap...the whole thing is suppose to be about outing a CIA agent like the release the name of a US 007, ya her position was so top secret and undercover her CIA ID is her real name lol

it's kinda sad actually, this guy has served his country better then most americans and now his life is ruined.....

Remember this was a perjury trial, they weren't prosecuting anyone for actually outing Plame. Plame wasn't exactly 007, but she was a field agent and so it's still a pretty serious crime. It's a tough crime to prosecute however because there's a high burden of proof.

I think what happened here is that Karl and Dickie and friends wanted to get this thing over with and so they got Scooter to perjur himself. Don't feel bad for him, this is just part of his job. He's going to be improving his tennis game at Club Fed (and will probably be earning a salary through some slush fund), then Bush will pardon him and he'll be back at work for some other Republican. This is just how it works; look at Elliott Abrams: Convicted for Iran-Contra, pardoned by Daddy Bush, and now works for Bush Jr.

The only thing that annoys me about it is the taxpayer money that was spent prosecuting him. They should just point out that because of presidential pardons, people like Scooter (and Cheney and Rove) are effectively above the law.

Incidentally, the guy who got us presidential pardons was none other than Alexander Hamilton, who thought the US should be governed by a monarchy.
