Media with bloody hands

From my beloved Fox to the People's daily they all should feel ashamed.

These sickoh's can count on the Media to make them Infamous.

Now they happily rebroadcast the Sickoh Manifesto as if his rantings have any value.

Somewhere a disturbed mind is thinking how he can make right the wrongs and announce his pain to the world.

All he needs is a high body count and the blood handed media to do his bidding.

Proposed mass murder thought process listed below not my own thought process or intent< disclaimer

"HImmmm better go for the record and make sure they are mostly children...Then I am sure it will be the news for a couple of weeks"

"Klebold, Harris, Cho just watch me take your spotlight."

Media is there to make money. They make money by people watching. People watch things that are exciting, interesting, tragic, etc. I've watched the videos, I've read articles, apparently so have you.

Welcome to the flock rich.

Run onto the field at Fenway and see if it makes it onto the air? It doesn't. Why not? I don't think they should have aired the tapes. All it does is prove Cho was an insane asshole. That fact had already been established.

also... airing this shit in the wake of firing Imus (who I couldn't care less about, personally) in the name of "responsible" journalism makes the media look kind of ridiculous... not that anyone will notice or care all that much.

The airring of the tapes and pictures is not in the best interest of the public or the victims families. There is NO need whatsoever to show pictures of this mass-murderer holding the two guns that he killed over 30 kids with. Why do these media companies think we want or need to see this shit? Why isn't the FCC jumping in here like they did with Imus??!!

It seems so disrespectful to the families of these poor kids.

they could show what they needed to without going over board. They could mention what the package contains then air a couple pixilated pics. Put the rest on their wedsite and tell everyone to look there... they should have never shown the video, but i'll admit, i was watching nbc yesterday at 6:30...

I fully agree....altho I admit I did watch the video myself, and looked at his pics (eh, I'm curious by nature) it wouldn't have changed anything to my life if I didn't get to see it either. It is disrespectful to the families, specially that it's still so fresh after the events. The only thing it did serve is to enrage me even more.

I stand corrected. My point is that the media doesn't know when to stop.

I wasn't surprised by it. He's holding guns. He's talking about killing. Then he killed.

Where is the outrage?

What did you expect, the easter bunny?

At least it illustrated to a country in shock that this was not some down home kid next door that nobody suspects but a wacko with dillisional rantings and a dimented view of reality.

I find no fault in the media for releasing these tapes. I wanted to see it and so did all of you (for the most part). Curiosity is human nature. If you don't want to watch it, don't. If we could expect that out of everyone else who felt offended then there would be no issue, would there.

I do find it distasteful for the media to publish photo after photo of police officers literally dragging out uncovered dead and injured. THAT is disrespectful to the dead AND to the officers. Nobody wants that memory plastered to every article.

Hahaha!! You edited your post! I was about to tell you that you didn't read my post right, because I DID view the video and did see the pics...

Posting pics of the officers and victims is distastful too...but I don't see how it is more disrespectful than posting pics/videos of the maniac who killed them all...to me it's all the same. What I would like to know is what the families of the victims, officers, etc. have to say about it, how they feel about all this being out there in the medias, for everyone to see. That could be interesting.

From past experience, I can tell you that the medias DO modify the reality to suit their own need for scandal. When my boyfriend disapeared years ago, they came over my house, interviewing me, taking pics, etc. the next day, I see my face taking half a page of the "Journal de Quebec" (Quebec city's daily paper). Now somehow, my boyfriend became my husband overnight, I was a "wife in mourning" (before nobody even knew if he was dead...his body was found 4 years later), etc. I was so freakin pissed. I regretted letting them into my home, and I understood that day that medias are NOT there to help people. They are only "helping themselves" by taking people's lifes and making a joke out of it. I bet there is MANY, if not all of them, families that are raging against the medias right now for this Cho's video/pics and pictures of their injured/killed children they wish would never have been in the papers for all to see.

This is stupid!

The only good that MIGHT come out of the airing of Cho's shit is that it will once again bring the fore front that there are warning signs for people who attempt to matar or glorify themselves through murder.

If you have such a problem with the self rightoueness and methods of the guy who shoots people, why continue to talk about it?

That's just what he wants.
Why continue to speak his name?

Are you looking for the media to change? It's not going to happen, in our day and age blood sells and that is the simple barbaric truth!

Remeberence of the fallen is the only thing that needs to happen at this point!

Good Day!

lol what about the pics of the bloody kid with his junk on display....they've since photoshopped it out...but it was frt page on a lot of papers yesterday..

I think there is a better way to release this stuff....this is becoming a trend....he mentioned the colombine kids saying they are martyrs... they turn them into celebrities and legends...i think it is time to stop that...

llike someone said...they dont show a flasher running around a baseball feild because they do not want to encourage others.....same rules should apply here....what would be wrong with stating what they have, flash a couple of pixilated pics and point them to a website? or ya...no ratings DUH!

I haven't watched it and won't because I do not care about or want to hear anything he has to say. I don't care to even see his face. He can burn in hell if there is such a thing and that's the end of it.

Ditto.. Did not even really watch the news last couple weeks, for the purpose of not hearing/seeing much about it.. Just bits and pieces from the radio.. It's disturbing and depressing ot have kids and know there are people like that out there.. Although can't Bash NBC alone, ther eis not a news Org. on this planet that would not have shown the video, no matter what they say after the fact..
