i think we need to take a lot of it away from them. There is no way to monitor them the way you want. There are too many players that are corruptable. Other then for people who cannot work and vets. the gov't should not have anything to do with health care. The only role they should play in terms of working america is to make companies want or have to provide healthcare for anyone working 40+ hours a week. This can be done with tax breaks or fines....make it so that it costs more money not to provide healthcare. The the costs will start to come down.....oh ya...and put a stop to the illegal aliens clogging up the ER's....that will help as well.

I believe the education system needs an over haul...but i think the local and state gov't play a bigger role in the wasted money then the rederal gov't. If i'm right then W has no power over what happens....neither will obama...

I still cannot beleive the troops do not have the tools they need...inexcusable

Canada - I pay taxes to the Government, the government pays my med bills.

BigRed plan - I pay taxes, the government pays my boss (thru tax breaks), my boss buys insurance, insurance company makes profit, insurance company pays my bills, and Oh yeah, my boss pays me less because he has to pay my med insurance.

Most larger companies already pay for most of their employess health coverage. It only becomes too expensive for the employee when they want to add his family.

Your plan would put most small businesses out of business, my employer included.

I would self insure if health care providers would bill me at the rates they charge the insurance companies.
