Burns my arse big time...

Some of you know the story from back in July and the bike accident I witnessed with the woman on her Harley right outside of my work. Well, the kid downright cut her off, now she's dead.

Just found out after all this crap about filling out statements, etc. that no charges are being pressed. WTF?

Furthermore, his insurance company sent me a statement thing to fill out so he can get compensated for HIS losses...

First page is a letter:

Dear Ms. ****,

Your name was provided to us as a witness to an accident that occured on July 21, 2007, at or near ROUTE 125/KINGSTON ROAD (KINGSTON/PLAISTOW LINE) involving a vehicle belonging to Tyler ******.

To make a prompt and fair decision on this claim on behalf of the policy holder, Tyler ******, we need all possible information from those who know about the accident.

Please answer the questions on the enclosed envelope... blah blah blah.

Most questions are the particulars of the event (date, location, weather conditions, etc.) but here's the few I can't bring myself to answer and they only give me a tiny little spot to fill it it...

1) Did you hear anyone admit fault. If so, who?

2) Which person do you believe was at fault and why? (they give ya like one line for this)

3) Describe any damaged property: (again, only one line for an answer)

I got the paperwork about 2 weeks ago and have looked at it over and over again but haven't brought myself to do it.

Attatch more paper if you need more writing space. It's not likely they'll send it back for TMI or anything.

There isn't enough paper to accurately put to words what I saw that day. I feel like just throwing the damn paperwork out and not dealing with it.

fill it out & be honest.... best case scenario is the company drops the insured's coverage.

Pete, I will fill it out to the best of my ability and what not, didn't mean to sound bitchy.

Just seems like once I start thinking that this is going to go away, it doesn't. And I know that there are a lot of people here that have gone through similiar things and have said that it NEVER really goes away but it seems like when things start getting easier, something else comes up. The cops show up, the insurance company, etc.

But I'll put that shit aside and do whatever they need me to do but I can't believe that this guy is going to walk away unscathed.

You sure about that? That might be what it looks like to you and I doubt you'll be around him when karma comes around.

He's walking through life knowing he killed someone...you think that's "unscathed"? I don't. He'll get his. Rest assured.

Chances are I won't be present when the court of karma passes it's verdict on him and casts it's sentence. What goes around, comes around.

"I thought I could make it".
Stupid fuck.

I was exactly thinking of this very sentence that, you said, he repeated over and over after he hit her...I would put this in a short ans sweet letter to the insurance company. Yes, I would add more paper, write down what you witnessed. Hopefully they will drop him.

I'm with pete on this, fill it out as best you can. At the very least, it should make them more inclined to settle with the poor woman's family.

Do you feel strongly enough that charges should be pressed to contact the attorney general's office? It might not go anywhere, but I think it would get reviewed at the state level.

He didn't admit fault but was screaming "die bitch die"

He appeared to accelerate and aim for her.

Her leg property was severed but other then that appeared not too damaged.

If your really cranked you could speak to the appropriate DA about vehicular homicide
