Actually, does anyone know how many US soldiers are anchor babies and become citizens during their service? Quite a few. I don't know how many, but there re some.

This country has one of the highest standards of living in the world, despite the illegal immigration problem. And always will have.

There is one reason and one reason only that illegals come to the USA. For a better life. The problem is with the system, not with the immigrants.

I am ASKING that you keep your arguments to the facts and your personal opinions, not just post link after link to right-wing bullshit websites that skew the facts and/or just make shit up.

Oh, and the people who you are talking about who brag that they scam this and scam that. It is your duty to report them. By the way, there are a fair number of american citizens who scam welfare and healthcare (and motorcycle insurance, just for moto content) too.

I remember clear like water the words on the paperwork/forms I was filling out when in the process of getting a visa about illegal aliens. It was saying that illegal aliens, or people on visas for that matter, CANNOT receive ANY help from the Government (no wellfare, etc.)

It's true tho that people will abuse the system. Immigrants AND citizens do so everyday. Being an immigrant is irrelevant about that. Citizens also are abusing, working under the table, and getting wellfare at the same time with all the free healthcare benefits. These people live better than another honest working, middle income family who can't even afford health insurance.

it sounded like a direct attack on to me.....if you read my posts you would know that i don't support the deportation on anyone....and if i was in the same situation i as them i would do the same thing.

We all know why people want to come here...we need to change the system so that the desireables can come and the "riff-raff" stay out....

we have the right and obligation to chose who is allowed into this country and who isnt....every other country in the world does and has far stricter immigration policies....

there are people a lot smarter then I involved in bi-partisan studies that say if things do not change in 30 years this will be a hispanic spanish speaking country...

I'm with Ryan, I have no problem with people who come here to follow the law and make a life for themselves that could not be made in the hell hole they came from.. I blame most of the problems on Labor Unions that have become too powerful and greedy, It was a great concept and needed when they were conceived, but I believe they have become out of control in the last 20 years..
