his performace was definately questionable...the reasons the democrats were after him this time was an classic example of their modus operandi. He did nothing illegal....and nothing the democrats hadnt done...and to a further extreme then he did...atleast he gave the US attorney's a shot....Clinton fired them all right off the bat...

You are mistaken; he did do something others before him had not done. He fired US Attorneys and cited "poor job performance", rather than "We just dont like him/her because they aren't a part of the same political party as us."

That can have a pretty substantial impact on someone's career, and it was a stupid thing to do. He deserves everything he got. All he would have had to do was say, "hey, you're not a Republican, hit the trail." Instead, he fired them and cited a bunch of BS reasons.

Someone's been reading too much of Rush's web site.

He didn't give them a chance to do anything, he canned them almost immediately, and said it was for poor job performance, when in fact it was because they were not aligned with his political beliefs.

There is nothing wrong with canning people for that reason, its not illegal. It is, however, illegal to say you fired someone for poor job performance when in fact that was not true. If he'd simply followed protocol and not been a dick about it, no one would have even noticed his taking office (aside from the multitude of questions he wouldn't answer before taking office, but we'll leave that out of it. )

clinton fired everyone right off the bat because they were bush I's guys...he gave these guys the opportunity to keep their job and do what was expected of them....they did not perform to his expectations and for rid of them....

and you say what clinton did was good....and what gonzales did was bad...... That really makes sense to you?

these guys new the deal when they decided to stay...if they did not want to do what was expected of them under a republican administration they should have taken it upon themselves to find another job....

seems to me Gonzales(Bush administration) was a hell of a lot more tolerant then the previous one....
