Ridiculous.. Kerry could have just answered the question and shut him up. He seemed willing to, but I can't say he would have been a very good President considering he didn't demand the student be given the chance to finish. Heck Kerry hasn't even put a statement on his website.

Even if they needed to remove him.. that was way over the top.

I can't even count the # of times I heard someone act that stupid in a Q&A session in college.. and I never saw a reaction like that. I heard Richard Dawkins (famous biologist/atheist) and he handled a similar situation very well and no violence was needed.

Heck what if it had been a professor spouting off?

that guy looked like he was ready to snap at any question....he didn't want to ask kerry a question he wanted to promote an agenda. The people that ran the show asked him to shut up and sit down. He didn't. They shut his mic. off he started yelling. They started showing him to the door. He resisted. They had him on the ground trying to cuff him while telling him they are going to taze him. He continued resisting and got tazed. lol

These simple minded retards think they can do or say what ever they want because "it's a free country...the 1st amendment man...i have rights". That holds no water when you are inside someones place of business. They dictate how the event goes down. You must play by their rules or you'll be asked to leave...or be made too.

In modern society there are rules you need to follow. He was clearly not following them and needed to be dealt with. People need to learn to respect authority and control themselves from doing what ever they want whenever they want. Why should the people who run the show, the audience and John Kerry have to be taken hostage by some wacko half-wit that read a book and thinks he's an authority, go off on some irrelevant rant? What about the rights of everyone else in that room?

If people were allowed to do whatever they wanted every time a politician made an appearance, they wouldn't do it anymore.

I think Kerry should have spoken up and said let him finish....

I can't verify this but it's supposedly from Kerry:

"In 37 years of public appearances, through wars, protests and highly emotional events, I have never had a dialogue end this way, Kerry said in a statement. I believe I could have handled the situation without interruption, but I do not know what warnings or other exchanges transpired between the young man and the police prior to his barging to the front of the line and their intervention. I asked the police to allow me to answer the question and was in the process of responding when he was taken into custody.

I was not aware that a taser was used until after I left the building, he continued. I hope that neither the student nor any of the police were injured. I regret enormously that a good healthy discussion was interrupted."

The Student has been released from Prison and 2 of the officers have been put on leave.. the students are apparently now protesting today. His Lawyer is pushing to have all the charges against him dismissed.

Red his behavior was just not that far out for an event on a College Campus.

Part of what is wrong with todays society. Just because everyone in college acts like a retard does not give you the right to. I agree with Ryan on everything he said. That kid had every opportunity to conduct himself in a proper manor. He didn't. He got disciplined. I'll bet next time he thinks better.
