I'm a shitty liberal, and I don't much care for Hillary Clinton.

I think I like Barack Obama, even though his chances appear to be fading.

If the nominees ended up being Giuliani for the Republicans and Clinton for the Democrats, I'd vote for Giuliani.

Yes, at the moment anyway. I always leave room for people to do something incredibly stupid before the elections.

Frankly, I think that Hillary is too far to the left to follow Bush. I think as bad as he is with civil liberties and foreign policy, she would be just as bad but in the polar opposite directions. (I hope that makes sense? )

I'd love to see an Obama/Romney election. *Ducks for cover*

Just look locally - Deval was supposed to be the great Crusader and he turns out to be exactly what rational people thought he was.

Lots of talk, little action AND he writes himself a pay raise!

A Democrat gov. that was supposed to work with a Democrat controlled House to get things done. Nothing is getting done, we have major budget issues and now talk of taxes. After he bad-mouth's Romney for cutting programs to make the budget in his last year! And just get me started on competition in auto insurance in this crazy state!!

Deval says that wasn't needed and he restored it, but now we can't pay for any of it! And now he wants to raise taxes??? And tolls? And someone please tell me how three casinos will solve this problem????

And for President, all of these fools have all the answers to our issues of foreign policy, recession, borders, our currency value, gasoline prices, etc?

The more I hear, the more I think we need to get business people in government, not panderers.

Clinton, McCain, Romney, Guliani, Thompson are all part of the good ole boy political establishment, I don't see any change with any of them even as diverse as their platforms or party affiliation

I think Obama could bring change as well as Richardson or Paul

I'm still most likely to vote for George Phillies in the general election

Ok, well that now makes 2 of us that believe this. I've been saying it for years! Instead, we get a bunch of bufoons that think that because they spend 2 years in congress, they are fucking president material. I don't want to get an academic that has spent their lives "studying" politics and economics either.
I want a shrewd businessman who has experience running a major corporation. Governement has grown too large and taxes are fucking choking us. We need a Warren Buffet, less 20 years. Someone who invests in education rather than failure social programs that are not being monitored nor having their success measured. Is this the best the Dems can come up with? This is a Red Sox/Yankees race...the winner is coming out of the republican side (Romney if he can play the religion card correctly). But we've got some really poor choices. Richest country in the world and this is our potential leadership.

I think Ross Perot was the closest we ever got to electing a businessman. Until he turned out to be a wing nut!

I am old but remember thinking when Carter was elected...

Ex Submarine Commander
Ex Peanut business and farmer owner
Ex Mostly successful Georgia Govenor

Gets to Washington and we almost go under economically and the Soviets
are all over us. He rings his hands

George Bush was in busness 1/2 assed until he got to be Texas Govenor

Just be afraid

I don't remember much about Carter, I was a young adult, good job, doing well and not really paying attention to political culture

72 was the first presidential election I voted in, only time that the guy I voted for won then came Ford, what was the name of that program (W)hip (I)nflation (N)ow

all I remember is that I couldn't get a raise in pay due to the wage & price freeze, but they didn't freeze the price of gasoline a 30「 increase at the pump meant the price doubled, then there was gas rationing

Not if that were the only plank in his or her platform. There are lots of other important issues and I like to see the whole picture....

Yes, I would indeed vote for that candidate who implemented those policies, assuming that they also represent my other political views.

At this point -- I am a fan of Joe Biden. I'm don't think he has the elect-ability factor, but I think he calls it like he sees it.

These days, it isn't about who you like. It's about who you dislike the least.
