great, thanks for backing me up

romney can't legalize polygamy and huckabee can't make abortion illegal if they become president....or any other religion based legislature...

so why is religion an issue?

what does that have to do with religion? when was the last time you voted for a president because of who the may or may not nominate for a SCJ?

it's making an issue out of nothing, there are far more important things to worry about...

personally i dont like organized religion but to mock and trash anyone who goes to church or lump them in with extremist nuts is either ignorant or stupid...you can fix ignorant.

Religious people do more good for society when is comes to charity community service and humanitarian efforts then people who dont go to chruch...in this country and around the world....

nice ninja edit...

good thing no one is asking you j/k that says faith not religion...and it's clear you didnt read that whole link...has nothing to do with religion or faith in our government...as i understand it was established to aid religious groups in their communities....all religions not evangelical Christian..

It's freedom of religion in this country...not freedom from religion... you can have your views but you should respect others...especially when it comes to someones faith...

it doesn't sounds extreme...it sounds ignorant and narrow minded honestly... The good done in god's name far out weighs the bad....it's unfortunate we typically only see and remember the bad.....

religious whack jobs are not what i am referring too...

there are a lot more catholic priest that have done a lot of good for a lot of different little boys then the small percentage of priests that have molested them.....

haha, not backing you up at all. You have a bad habit of doing this, you make these broad, extremely over simplified, generalized, statements with no real reference points, regardless of the scope of the discussion being religious issues, you need to caveat your points or put them into a non mis-leading perspective.

No, I suppose the President can't do "shit" on his own, only, you know, control foreign policy that has an impact on the entire world... One word out of his mouth can set off a chain of events on a global level. No, he can't make abortion illegal, however, that pales in comparison to what he actually CAN do. So, don't misrepresent the President even if it is in the context of simple abortion, make it clear and concise... You make the President seem like an impotent "figure head". You also seem to think power is relatively equally distributed. I got news for you, it's not. The mechanisms controlling the powers of the President can be, and is, manipulated by the President himself. True, it's not a dictatorship (caveat statement in an effort to not misrepresent), but it's also not as "diluted" as most would like to believe.

and you have a habit over over analyzing one small point then pounding it into the ground...this topic started because someone said they wouldn't vote for romney because he is a Mormon...

oh wait..your back to not backing me up...ok so tell me...what can he do...worst case...give me an example of the horror a mormon president would do?...hell i'll make it easy...tell me what a crazy evangelical would do on his own....worst case....espeicially now with a democrat controlled congress....

it's making an issue out of nothing....what a man does should matter...not how he believes in his god

Re: Who do you like? re: reps

so things have been narrowed down (not like it wasn't a given from the start of the primaries). mcain&romney, hillary&obama

would you rather mccain or romney?

romney really pisses me off for some reason. just something about him...

my guess is it's gonna come down to mccain and hillary in the end. obama is acting like a whiny little beyotch.

Re: Who do you like? re: reps

They are both flawed. I know what I don't like about Romney. Aside from his impractical approach to illegal immigration and healthcare reform, he's a freekin Morman.

McCain seems like a one trick pony. Fight terrorism. What about domestic issues...the economy stupid?

You think Rudy is out? Hope not...he seemed to have the most practical approach.

Re: Who do you like? re: reps

Romney because we need someone from the private sector not a pollitian and everything he's touches he improves. I also think he is running for president to make this country better and not solely to become president...

I like McCain and will vote for him if he gets the nomination but he isnt really a republican...i have a real problem with his amnesty bill and I don't agree with his views on "torture".

Although I still don't think there is any stopping hillary....

Who is this ron paul guy I keep hearing about from you guys? He never gets any press...

I doubt Hillary will win, I just don't think the country will elect a female President (YET).

I think I will wait until just before the polls close to cast my vote. We could be in double-OT by then!

I predict Rudy to bow out of the race sometime this evening. He put all his eggs in Florida, and now they're all poached.

Re: Who do you like? re: reps

This is a trickey group of candidates. I still am with Romney simply because I get his ideas and he speaks clearly all the time. He also looks presidential. He has good business sense. His platform is well presented. Although all of this may be true "the MOB is fickle sire" and "they choose death" for the perfect. Maybe his being a Mormon will be his downfall but as others have said religion should not play a part of the election of a leader

McCain --- focused too narrow

Giulliani --- relys too much on his good guy nature and after bombing in FL

R.Paul --- I follow your ideas but, maybe you need to present them to the public differently and maybe get a face lift.

Huckabee -- who's gonna fuckabee sorry could have wayy too much fun with this name and platform needs some adjustment
