Who do you like? re: reps

Same rules...talk about who you like...

I first thought Romney was an empty suit....his speech the other day filled it in a little bit for me...I also like Rudy and McCain.....

Huckabbe is the hillary of the republican...he's the craziest religious wack job up there but has turn the religion "issue" onto Romney.....he's an ordained minister and preaches!! lol

I did like Rudy until I saw his first commercial. I'm not supporting someone that tries to scare the people away from other canidates in order to get them in his corner.

I like Giuliani, but I need to do a little more reading into him. He seems to be "real" Republican - like circa the 1980's.

I also like Romney, but there is something about him that creeps me out a little. Its a bit stereotypical of me to say, but Mormons tend to havea good business sense, and I wonder if he wouldn't be good for the economy.

Mostly I'm a bit uneducated at the moment of the Republican candidates, but I need to read up since the Democrats haven't offered up much of anyone who is real exciting.

I like McCain if he is willing to play the "Real McCain" and not the guy who caved and agreed with Bush, etc..

Romney seems fine too.. though I'm not sure he'd be the best if democrats were in control of congress..

Ron Paul sounds like he has his head on straight too.

Guiliani last... I haven't heard him open his mouth and not say something stupid.. whether it's attacking someone else or screaming "Terror" every chance he gets. It's not as if New Yorkers have a terribly high opinion and ask the FDNY what they think of his management skills... there is a vocal group that holds him responsible for communication errors on 9/11 leading to fatalities in the FD.

I've been web surfing since I posted, and I'll have to admit to being less than impressed with what I read on Giuliani's web site. The words "supply-side economics" scare me, and his foreign policy seems a overly aggressive.

Romney's web site was very good, especially with his insight into environmental and foreign policy issues, but Iraq is a big thing for me this election and that seemed to be missing entirely from his site.

Giulliani is ahead but doesn't look Presidential

Romney looks the part and has a real chance

HUckabee is likeable but wouldn't get elected

Thompson face plant

Paul Mayor of crazy town

Mc Cain he is totally inconsistent

My crystal Ball says it will be

Giuliani - Gingrich and they will lose against Hillary

Romney and a woman would beat Hillary.

When Hillary is in dust off that old Carcano

Iraq is off the table because Hillary would not give them a date certain for withdrawl.
Obama is gonna go down because he is embracing being the 1st Black candidate instead of a candidate who
happens to be black

I notice that appears to be the case.

Which really sucks, because I couldn't draw up a candidate who more closely fits what I'd like to see in a President.

Hopefully they'll catch Giuliani banging a 14 year old, Mitt with a couple extra wifes, and Thompson will have a heart attack. I'm kidding, I dont hope for any of that.

Billary hasn't won the nomination yet, and I honestly dont think she will.

She seems to have a head of steam similar to what Howard Dean had, only to be deflated in Iowa, where Obama is currently in the lead. Losing Iowa seems to really take the wind out of their sails.

In this case, I'll probably have to agree with you. I'm sort of hoping against hope.

Is it my imagination, or was it not always a choice between two total fucktards? I mean, I dont remember the Bush Jr./Gore election, nor either of the Clinton elections having such lousy choices - i.e., either candidate winning being such a total drag. Maybe I'm too young to remember.

i dont think it is your imagination....i think all the top politicians have lost focus. you are either with us or against us..period. Both parties are led buy the extremes on each side...and that just isnt how the world votes. I dont think any one of us totally agrees with anyone, on anything, yet in politics you have to agree with either one side or the other....it's crap...

i think it has been building since the regan administration...seems like crap started after that...then again i dont remember anything before that haha..

i think people are starting to get sick of it...a la ron paul..... I would like to see him become president...i think that would be the only signifigant outcome of the election.

100% He may not win the NH primary, but I'm pretty sure he'll have a very respectable % of the vote.

Last nights ad for Guliani made me a little concerned. He talked about how Muslim extremists released hostages an hour after Regan was sworn into office after holding them for 400-something days.
