what's your opinion on the guy that ratted out the other guy with pipe bomb? is he really help or hurt the guy's family? whos gonna take care of his wife and kids now that the husband is in jail?

i think he is looking to protect the guy's family and all the other in the neighborhood. Seriously, what the fuck does some one need a pipe bomb for unless they intend to hurt or create fear in someone?

I think if you see a need to make pipe bombs and store them in your basement, you need to:

a: get some counseling for your mental health problem
b: get thrown in the slammer and the key thrown away.

If you have a genuine interest in explosives, there are places you can do that stuff, not at home with kids in the neighborhood. If he was my neighbor he would be asking not to be bailed out as I'd be waiting with a shovel for his head to knock some sense in.

Yea I agree. You can't be up to any good if you are building pipe bombs. As far as this douches family , they are alive and safe. One of his kids does not have the chance to find one of these and accidently detinate it. Who will take care of them?? We will..... Thats the tax payers job.

What's yours? I would love to know what's generated in that rattle can of your brain to raise the question. Is there some use case that isn't obvious that would in some way justify keeping pipe bombs in your house?

I love to blow shit up. If I knew my neighbor was making pipe bombs and storing them in his basement I'd rat him out too. Just capping a pipe bomb can and has set them off. I'm not sure if you are aware Kham, but bombs are illegal.

I've made a few bombs (no pipe bombs tho) myself, but this guy had something like 27 pipe bombs stored in his basement.... that's a little beyond have some backyard fun

I too had my share of black and smokeless powder fun. One of our favorite things to do was to drill a deep hole in the trunk of a tree using a brace and auger bit. We would pack it full of powder, cap it, and use a model rocket igniter detonate it usually taking the tree down with it! Most of our experimentation stemmed from building my own model rocket engines. Small changes to the formula can make the mixture burn significantly faster.
