kneedraggers.comI have LP rear and PB front. While the LP works and saved me a $100, PB quality just can't be beat. Having a converter option for the front to work on forks is nice too. |

kneedraggers.comFor $170 I got front stand with fork lift attachment that would allow to remove the forks. Used it when I put racetech emulators into the forks. |

kneedraggers.comI must have a different one. Without the fork lift attachment it goes under the forks for wheel changes. The attachment hooks into the rubber pins that forks normally rest on and goes under the triple. This way you can remove forks. The bike does seem a little more stable when it is sitting on the bottoms of the forks. Either way quality is great. |

kneedraggers.comReally? Shouldda bought a Honda! hahahaha It is kind of annoying how you have to line it up n stuff, but i just take the 2 pieces, pop the one in there (and it will kinda hang off the little post in the bottom of the tree) and then pop the other one in there and she comes right up. How are you doing it? |

kneedraggers.comYeah, you can't use my front without the rear stand or it's real unstable. On both stands it's rock solid though! I just got the 'standard front' PB stand, so it's nothing fancy. I definately wanted to be able to take my forks off/adjust them in the clamps, so I didn't get the one that lifts from under the forks (which is WAAAY easier to use than the standard front!). |

kneedraggers.comGuys, You've probably seen my other post on how AWESOME my Pit Bull reversible rear stand is... Sooooooo...I just HAD to call them back today and order a front stand (I guess I'll need it if we are going to be doing our own tire changes - right JC?). Anyway, I called them up, and told them that I just received the rear REVERSIBLE stand for the DUC, and that I LOVED IT! I told them that I wanted to buy a "Forklift Front" stand which is the easier one that Eug has. Because it is THAT much easier to use, and you can get a converter later to do fork work with (I doubt I will, but it's there if I choose to)...I had to go with this easy unit. By the way, YES - the front stand should never be used without the rear in place (according to my conversation with Pit Bull only minutes ago. Here's the kicker... I told the guy I wanted two spare "hubcaps" (the things that fit over the edges of the axle, and hold the wheels on), AND two spare wheels "just in case". He agreed to "throw them in the box" free of charge. He said the likelihood that I would ever need them is nonexistent, but hey, can't hurt to have spares "just in case"...right? Besides, he's giving them to me for free! ![]() Now, I can't wait to get the FRONT stand! The good news is it will work with both bikes, and I won't have to get converters / pins etc... :thumbup After my experience with the reversible stand for the Duc, I am blown away by these stands. They are awesome - I'm not buying any other from now on. ![]() |

kneedraggers.comGreetings All, For some other views of the saga (hehe) look [L=here]http://www.cbr929rr.org/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=3&threadid=207&highlight_key=y&keyword1=kneedraggers% 2Ecom[/L] but I really think an update is warranted here, so here goes. After my last post over here, I began to chatter with Chris@KD on some things and he helped me out alot. I think he opened a can of whoop-a$$ @ ZeroGravity and threatened to crack some skulls over there. The screen was on my porch shortly thereafter ![]() (Note: This is not an open invite for others that are experiencing the ZG delay to bother your vendors (specially kneedraggers!). This was simply a case where I hadnt received my screen for month(s) and was promised a few times that it had been shipped to me etc. etc. just as they had been promised by ZG, that is why the rush in service. Just an FYI for those that think they can manipulate vendors by posting on forums ~ not a good practice in general Anyways, onto bigger and better things... Times have changed, and I'm back, and happy. I placed an order for gloves, and it even shipped that day So, back to the kneedraggers thing... I gave these dudes a real bad rap by posting half the places on the www that let me post (still), and I think alot of it wasnt their fault. It was a lack of communication to them by ZG and thus a lack of communication to me. I have settled down and really been able to look at the whole thing from a 3rd person POV and see where it all fell apart. I know this now, because I know how busy those guys are down there and I give em credit for doing what they do! I know its not a whole 600 person shop like you may (or may not) expect, but the tireless efforts of a few good souls (well the few that I have talked with anyways Now the next question your probably asking is why am i here? this was months ago, who cares? Well, I haven't had an insane allotment of freetime since this incident, which was why I was kinda pushing things and why I got so fed up so quick. I was about to undertake a large project at work and combined with some other personal issues I knew I wouldnt have the time to ride once this stuff got going. Well I was right, and I still dont (400 miles since 6.28 These guys are still top notch in my book, and as you can see, I had to give them another chance after all the effort that they DID put into me getting my stuff, once I raised awareness that it was a problem. I could go on all day about "why wasnt i told" etc. etc. however after talking with the guys over there, I understand it all a bit more, and I actually feel bad about the whole thing. I like to be a pretty decent guy and quite typically the "bigger" person (hey, I am in real life so why not right?) of things, but I really feel that my WWW posting etc. was a bit out of line to an point. I think alot of things would have been different had I not done that, and perhaps even gone smoother (for all of us). I didn't want the guys down there to hate me forever for this, although I think i sealed the fate on that one In any event, my case in point is this: Kneedraggers.com is in fact a GOOD shop, with AWESOME pricing, and GOOD help. Their follow-through is impressive and im convinced that what happened was a one time thing, and was really not all that much of their fault. If I'm willing to take my buisness back there, well ya may not know me personally but hopefully from some of the attitude you've all seen me drop on here - you know it means alot, at least in my world. I would also like to take this little 6 minutes on your screen to publically apologize to Todd. I took emails that went between him and myself, and blasted them onto boards from Boston to Tokyo without even so much of a warning to him, and even with a warning, well...I dunno, just seems wrong. I put the guy through hell with this, as well as everyone else over there through the agony of having to do all this replying in public forums crap that really doesen't accomplish much more then hurt their customer base. Which in all honesty, wasn't my intention, I was mad, and I wanted a group of people that would listen and not let it "happen to them" but one thing I must say about KD customers, they are many! I got quite a few emails from total strangers with the "thanks for the warning I will never shop there" but on the flipside, I got some (from people that I know even) saying "dude, kd is usually pretty good, has this ever happened before? Im willing to bet its just a one time thing" etc. That alone showed me that their dedication and performance was more then enough to warrant another try with them. I did it, and I'm pleased And just on the record, I'd just like to thank Chris, Todd, Sam, Scott (who did i forget?) from kneedraggers for helping me with this issue, as well as anything else that may strike my MC fancy in the future Im sure i forgot all sortsa stuff here that I wanted to post, so ill be editing in the future...but in the means...this is where im @. Thanks for listening, ~:Chris |
