AZMC tires...

I need tires for next week (track day).

I was stupid and waited too long I guess....

So I called Rob @ AZMCT and he quoted me $370 for BT010's mounted in the parking lot at work.

Dealership carries D207s but not BT010s unless I special order them... The dealership is walking distance from my apartment so it's not terribly inconvenient either. I don't know which tires are more expensive but they aren't that different. The dealership wants $440 total.

So I guess AZMCT isn't that expensive considering what you get, he's charging more for the service but his tire prices themselves must be very competitive. Close to the internet prices.

Got my 010's from discountmotorcycletire.com delivered for $227!!

Installed at Jays house by our resident tireslut JC for pizza and a very small donation to NESR, and allowing JC to scrub them in for me!. I think this cost JC more than me. Now he wants another bike!

JC do you need anything, mo money etc.?

We were saying that the average dealership costs like $50 to $75 for install. So.......

Nah don't worry about it...I needed the practice with the balancer!

I think I'll be much happier with my bike again, once it's not so loud.

I'd like to order online next time.

This time I just wanted it done fast, and I was dumb to wait so long.

I'm a little paranoid about passing the tech inspection at the track. How picky are they about the chain? I've rode enough in the rain, if they look really carefully they're going to find some dots of rust I think. (Very small though, not nearly enough to bother me, and I think if I get the right lube on there they'll be invisible.)

rust on the chain shouldn't be an issue.
