Anyone have an opinion on Teknic suits? $585 seems like a good price.

I have the 1-piece version of the lightning, which I havent worn riding yet (hopefully will this weekend). But I have the 2-piece teknic chicane, and rode with that last year and liked it alot. Looks like a pretty good price too.

You get what you pay for.

I crashed in my 2 piece Chicane suit.

It has NO hard armor. I won't buy another suit without hard armor. (I see the Lightning has hard armor)

FWIW it held up ok, I did get a tear in the knee (might have caught the footpeg.) and the shoulder you can hardly tell I went down.

It is my street suit now until I get a better one, as I do not go half as fast on the street.

You can find used quality suits on the WERA board. I got an Alpinestars SMX for $300

this for racing or track days?

It is for track days. I'm doing a bunch of track days this year and then I'll decide about racing. If I decide to race, I'll re-evaluate the suit.

I ordered the suit, but it was too small. I'm getting a bigger size. So, if the suit sucks, maybe I don't want to know now.

I had a at least 50 mph lowside in my armored 2pc teknic still use um, armor is interchangable AFAIK.
