Boots Boots and more boots.I had them and liked them a lot. They seemed wider then most which was good for me. They were noisy and the oil only lasted a few hours. |

Boots Boots and more boots.I have the setup vision boots and I like them a lot. not squeaky at all, and if you get black you can wear them w/ jeans & stuff and not look too goofey. they boast the same/similar protection to sidi, but without all teh bells and whistles. my foot got mangled under my bike in my last crash. if I had been wearing sneakers it most certainly would have been crushed. that ankle protector was pretty banged up, but did not crack or anything. the leather between the anlkle protector and shin took big hit I guess and there is a small hole. I limped away with a bad sprain and a huge, purple foot. lemme dig up the picture.... the biggest impact to my boot and foot is marked here, but it looks like even the expensive sidis dont have any hard protection there. man that hurt.... ![]() here is my foot 5 days afterwards. hard to tell but my toes were all purple too. it is all sorts of funky colors now... ![]() Last edited by l3uddha : 09-13-07 at 03:15 PM. Boots Boots and more boots.I'm currently wearing the old SIDI Vertabra, which has been upgraded lately. I think you can by this boot as the B1 or B2 today. It's a pretty good boot for the money but no longer top shelf. It's a narrow fit. |

Boots Boots and more boots.Joel your heel looks like shit! I have a pair of Nitros for the street and thats what I'd expect to see without hard heels but not with Sidi Vertigo Corsas imho. The Corsa has additional protection for your ankles over the regular Vertigos and definitely the Visions. not cheap but worked well for me! |

Boots Boots and more boots.I had my foot run over when I was wearing the Alpinestar SMX Plus and nothing happened to me. I was down on the ground lying on my side and the bike went right over the outside middle of my foot. "Holly S I just got run over". The field clears and I stand up. Nothing wrong with the foot, so I picked up the bike and get back into the race. No bruise or any mark. |

Boots Boots and more boots.MX boots take a LOT to get used to wearing if you're not a dirt rider. And I don't really see the point (on the road track) other than for Supermoto. As for the boots posted. I've heard good reviews about Oxtar's boots. I looked at them quite a bit over the winter when I bought new boots. They fit similar to the Sidi's, but were just different enough in the the way the heel sat that I felt the Sidi's fit me better. Also check out www.sportbiketrackgear.com. They have the current model Oxtar boots on sale so you can compare. For a couple extra bucks, I think the current model provides a bit more ankle protection and lateral stability. |
