Plaistow PowerSports

WOW!!! I walked in to their dealership knowing exactly what I wanted, and what I wanted to pay for it. And they obliged. It was the EASIEST purchase I have ever made. My salesman was kind and professional ... as was his sales manager. They made the purchase of this '08 GSXR-750 so incredibly painless and enjoyable, it felt like a dream. This is definitely a dealership that I can forge a relationship with... THANKS GUYS!

I thought only crazy people signed up & made bike related usernames that don't reflect their bike.

Re: Plaistow PowerSports

I had a much different experience with them- called them told them what i wanted, and what I had been quoted from another dealer. He said he had the bike and I could pick it up on a thursday, I said I would be there at 1pm, truck, trailer and cashiers check. it was tuesday and I was working wednesday. I called wednesday at about 1pm to just confirm my intentions of being there at 1pm on thursday. My salesman "rick" said OK. Then i get a call 10 min later and he says that his truck came at 11am and my bike wasnt on it. Mind you this is 2 hrs after the truck came- so basically had I not called and just showed up thursday i wouldnt have known anything. I said that i still intended on being there at 1pm and if the bike wasnt there i didnt know what to tell them. So the next day I load the trailer to the truck, go to the bank and am at lunch when he calls me and says that my bike still isnt.there. I reminded him of our previous conversation and how I was skeptical of buying from them because of all the negative stories I had heard about them and how I wasnt really after just a good price but great service and he said that he just wanted ONE shot to show me what kind of service they could give me and so far he was dropping the ball. so I basically said I think I am going to take my business elsewhere I also said that I really didnt think it was his fault but more of the dealership and the "higher ups" because here u had a salesman who had a deal going and the dealership didnt do what they neededto do to get the bike there from the other store and if they couldnt give me good service when I was giving them $8500.00 then why would I believe that they would give me good service at any other time down the road. So then he gets his sales manager on the phone who says that basically he hopes we can do business in the future- like he could care less he just lost a sale- I ended up going back to Nault's in Manchester, told them what I wanted, told them I would be there the next day at noon. I went there, they had the bike all set up, paid them and they delivered it to me. By FAR MUCH BETTER service.
So then last week I go in there (PP)just to try to get a LED light for a fender eliminator- I stand at the parts counter for 10 minutes while they stand there and try to train some girl who has NO CLUE what she is doing. I will never step foot in that store again- that was my experience and all I say is true

Re: Plaistow PowerSports

PPS treated me well when I bought the SV.

Service on the other hand was half and half ... depended on who did the work. There were times I would have to go and purchase a hand full of bolts that would fall off after they worked on it. I know it wasn't me cause I always use blue loctite on every bolt I take off cause of vibrations. Just sloppy work ethics.

They lost my maintainence business when they told me they charged 48 bucks a wheel to change a tire. That is pure BS and told me they are not struggling for business. Most "normal" bike shops charge under 30 bucks.

As for buying gear there, prices were good, especially with the sales.
I can do better over the internet, but believe it or not, rather support LBS's as I can actually try things on.

Re: Plaistow PowerSports

Anyone think it may just be possible that Ldyninja is a legitimate customer who bought a bike?

Re: Plaistow PowerSports

trackday guru- I actaully called you TWICE on the prior Monday and Tuesday and never got a return call- We met at the Salem bike show- my dad and I. I was interested in a 1000 and was looking at a timeframe of about a month from then- but when I decided to get a 750 sooner I tried calling you- as I said 2 times, left messages and never got a return call

I would be more inclined to think that their first post would be to introduce themselves, not to try to pump up PP
