C and E Yamaha

Hi Folks,

Just dropped off my R1 at C and E Yamaha in Middleboro for an oil change and a few other maintenance related items. I am trying this shop out because SS Motorsports is now closed. The staff seem very friendly and helpful.

Did I just make a mistake? Anyone have experience with this shop?

Re: C and E Yamaha

It was a bit more than just an oil change. Brakes, oil, chain, sprockets and inspection sticker. I don't have a garage to work on my bike.

New post on craigslist about a used R1 that needs brakes, chain and sprockets? Hee hee.

I'm sure your bike will be fine.

I bought my brand new R-1 (at the time they replaced the FZR's) back in 1999 and they were awesome. If I still lived in Middleboro I'd frequent them more. Same guy owns it to. The head mechanic knows his shit from my experience

Thanks Mark. Spoke with a service tech named Chris. Was very friendly and seemed to know his stuff.

Re: C and E Yamaha

O.K. so here is my review based on my experience at the dealership...

I came in to the shop, walked up to the service counter and stated that I was there to cash out my bike. The owner, Ed, rings me up for $130. He states that the $130 included my oil chanage, safety inspection, fixing my frozen calipers on my front and rear brakes, and an inspection sticker. Also Ed stated to me that the technician washed the bike too.

Apon leaving the store to go around the side to pick up the bike, the technician Matt comes out. He introduced himself and was very happy to meet me. He informed me of all of the work done to the bike. He seemed to be pretty damn smart about bikes.

Not bad for $130. C & E Yamaha was probably the best delaership I have been to. A+ in my book.

Re: C and E Yamaha

was that regular or synthetic oil?
I see $15 for the sticker, $40 for regular oil (or $80 for synthetic), and the difference on your brakes? that seems a bit high if you got regular oil. sounds like they charged you an hour of labor

The previous place I went to (the old one near you) would charge $30 for the oil change, not including parts. Then they would slip in a $125 safety inspection without asking. An oil change became an expensive deal at that shop.

I wonder why they are closed.

$15 for sticker
$30 for oil
$10 for the oil filter

That's $55 for parts, leaving $75 for doing the oil change (30 minutes) and freeing up calipers (about an hour or so). Seems VERY reasonable to me.

They have a great reputation around here locally. I go there for inspections.

derek

Also, don't forget the complimentary wash. They really seem to want to make their customers happy. Either that or I caught them on one hell of a great day

C and E Yamaha Update

Just got bought a WR250R from C & E Yamaha yesterday. Everything couldn't have gone better. Price was great, every aspect from the sales person to leaving the shop was done with perfection. The owner Ed, is a great guy to deal with, Kathy did all of the paperwork and the guys in the shop immediately prepped the bike so I didn't have to come back another time.

Am very happy with them (like usual).

My quick review of the WR250R is here: http://www.nestreetriders.com/forum/504508-post23.html

Re: C and E Yamaha

Funny you talk about this shop.My brother nik was looking for a new RX1 Snowmobile. All the jackass shops in Ct. wouldn't make any deals with my brother. Then surfing the web he found this shop and called them up.He talked to a woman on friday and asked if they would start to assemble the sled and would be there next day to pick up(saturday) he even offerd his credit card for collateral. They turned it down and said come first thing saturday morning.Well it was raining cats and dogs.I don't think the mechanic and his helper ever thought they would be putting together a 2007 sled near the end of february.Well where they surprised My brother laid out half the price in "CASH" and the rest on yamaha card.Well at about 12:45/1:00 they loaded the sled onto our trailer. My brother couldn't be happier.Super nice people to deal with.A+A+A+

The woman on the phone was Kathy. She is super-nice along with the rest of them. The morale at that shop seems to be very high. Everyone that works there just seems to be very happy. A nice change compared to most other shops in that area.
