| Aerostich customer service A friend of mine sent this email to Andy Goldfine, owner of Rider Warehouse (Aerostich) after getting excellent customer service from them. Thought I'd share it here.
"Andy,
I can bitch with the best of them when I feel like I've gotten poor service, but when I get great service I feel even more obligated to point it out.
I sent in both my Darien pants and jacket (off warrantee and each sent in separately) in the last month to have zippers replaced. The pants were done with normal turnaround and shipping and I got them back within a very reasonable amount of time. About the time I received the pants back, I returned my jacket to get one of the cuff zippers replaced. This was on Tuesday, 10/21, I think. In this case I was in a time crunch because I'm leaving for a trip to El Paso on Saturday 11/1. At any rate, I had it shipped to arrive at RiderWearhouse by noon on Thursday 10/23 and then called Scott to whine, snivel, and see if I could cajole him into getting them back to me in time for my trip. I authorized 2nd day air return shipping and he said he believed he could get it back to me in time.
I received my jacket back yesterday (10/29) and saw that your crew had actually turned it around so fast that 3rd day air was sufficient to get it back to me in plenty of time, and save me $6.
When I was reinstalling the armor in the jacket, I noticed that your crew had given it a thorough going over, applying fresh tape everywhere the Gore-Tex was worn and over some repairs I had previously made with one of your repair kits. Seeing this caused me to check the pants I'd gotten back earlier and I found the same thing had been done to them.
I spoke to your people this morning and now understand that this is you standard procedure, that is to make the shell as much like new as possible when you have a garment in for any repair. I find that to be very impressive, Andy. I can be a real bigmouth when I get the urge and you can bet that I'll be making a lot of noise about your service. You run a real class outfit.
Thanks for the great service." |
