It's white and bigwhere do you work that you can afford all these cool toys? how big is that quad? is it the same size as the YFZ450 or is huge like the raptor was? is it just a bored out 660? |

It's white and bigIt's got almost the same specs as the YFZ as far as length, width and seat hight. It does weigh a bit more though but it also has a lower center of gravity that the old Raptor 660. The bodywork is big making it look much bigger than the 450 as well The engine is all brand new and shares no parts from the old Raptor motor, it's actually only a 4 valve head as well. It should be good in the trails which is what i'm looking for... amazingly you can almost let the clutch out without giving it any gas and it just starts to go so it should be good in the tight stuff Not to mention reverse!!! If the YFZ450 had reverse, no doubt I'd have bought a new YFZ, i'm tired of picking the thing up to turn around in a tight area |

It's white and bigIt's silly I tell ya, just silly I think Yamaha hit the nail on the head with this one, first ride impression is pretty good for me I'm pretty impressed with how it jumps, the first table top I hit I was a little afraid that it was a bit front heavy and wasn't sure how much gas to give it, didn't seem to matter much Awesome power for being stock, lots of low end torque for the trails and once the RPM starts to climb, it pulls like a bear 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear wheelies with just gas, a little tug and i'm sure 4th would come rite up. It's not quite as stable as the YFZ450 and you can feel it being just a bit top heavy but it's 10x better than stock Raptors of the past. I would say the power is about equal to the YFZ450 as well but has more user friendly output Overall, I'm pretty impressed. And finally yamaha put some good tires on a stock quad, it's about time. Be carefull with reverse, it'll do about 30 and spit a crap load of dirt on your boots while doing it ![]() |
