it's been in the course guide for years....
it hasn't been offered in MA until very recently.

think of the BRC (basic rider course) done on a dirty parking lot.

I've wanted to try dirt riding, and this course looks interesting. From what I've read though, it seems geared more towards kids. Am I wrong?

Thats a good question. I was thinking about one of those courses too, but am not sure if I am too old to ride dirt and would be stuck with a bunch of 6 year olds. Am 32. Probably the oldest person to ever consider a dirt bike. ha ha ha.

I won't specify PB's age, but I will mention she was eligible for the Senior class (40+) when she started riding dirt, and entered some hare scrambles after her first season. And, our first ride was in Savoy S.F. Let's just say it was a cleansing experience.

The MSF dirt course is definitely oriented to those that haven't ridden a motorcycle before. I got a contact from NETR of a new school in Exeter, RI and took an "advanced" course this past weekend. Learned a TON and the 2 instructors and the person that did demos were great. We were the first advanced class they've had so I don't think they've got anything on the website yet but at least you can get an idea of who they are. For more information on the advanced classes contact Bill Haas at billhass1@cox.net or 401.397.3076.
